Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by KONAMI and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody's earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans. For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

Starring Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is set to hit theaters on October 26, 2012.

I thought it was only just watchable..but I think people were expecting a complete load of shit, so were pleasantly surprised and tend to over-praise it.

The first one was hardly the best horror movie in the world, but I really enjoyed it. I did have low expectations, but regardless I thought it was pretty good. I just wished they toned down the CGI some so it wasn't so blatantly obvious.

The first Silent Hill was good, and I hope the sequel is better.

I liked it at the cinema, but haven't really enjoyed it since on repeat viewings. This sequel looks like too much of an action movie, I didn't really get a horror vibe from the trailer... Resi syndrome.

it just looks like a fan-made game of thrones poster to me :P
lokibane2012 - 10/2/2012, 1:52 PM

jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:07 PM
@mavel72 and tea, idk the double dragon movie was off the hook:) I think the first mk movie or the street fighter has been the best. The tomb raider movies were better than the first silent hill and that's sad
marvel72 - 10/2/2012, 2:07 PM
@ teabag

the collection (scratching head)
marvel72 - 10/2/2012, 2:10 PM
@ jessepostal

shit man,i forgot about double dragon & tomb raider movies but i'm gonna have to beg to differ with ya.

i still think silent hill is the best video game movie ever!
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:14 PM
@marv, I'll give it another watch bud, but from what I remember I was bored and disappointed
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:19 PM
@tea, silent hill was 10 years after the rest, quality better? I'd hope so, but the fun and final product including cheese factor and seeing sub zero freeze a mofo takes the quarter for me:)
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:26 PM
@tea, I know bud I was on the same page, I ment as a ten year difference of making movies based on video games the quality should def improve. Buut since u mentioned it the cgi wasn't much better in silent hill:)
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:39 PM
@tea haha I hope your music choices improved along with your dance skills:) what was that 95?? I think I was already on to rock music and rap by than. I think I pretending to be gangsta with dr dre and snoop hahaha. Idk bud that silent hill cgi is pretty Terrible
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:42 PM
I didn't watch tekken but street fighter is just fun, maybe cuz I grew up with the characters and it doesn't take itself too seriously which to me isn't always a bad thing. And jean Claude is in it:) man I loved kickboxer as a kid too
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:57 PM
Is aqua still around??? One direction I have to deal with way too much ( the ol lady is a consultant for Disney and one direction is sleeping with Micky and became there go to band) You win with the cgi talk buuut it was still terrible:) hahaha I saw street fighter in the theatre, baught the toys when I was a kid, the DVD and recently the blu ray:) mission to Moscow! I've never finished it haha but there had to be one that was terrible out of the 8. Plus they waited ten years till after the previous one, bastards.
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 2:58 PM
Yes they did, I wish they didn't though, I hate shaving do often:) cyborg gave me some chest pubes as well:)
Boogie138 - 10/2/2012, 3:12 PM
just love the old school look to this movie poster. i can stop commenting on how i wish we could get posters and cover art to look like this. it's like an old vhs cover! this would have got a rent back in the day because horror is always a gamble and the best lookin' scratch ticket is first pick
Boogie138 - 10/2/2012, 3:13 PM
* can't. stoopid fingers slower than brain thingies
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 3:23 PM
Haha there were so many 80s post apocalyptic movies, I miss them. And your def right about fun bags on the cover sold movies back than. Sorrority house massacre 2 became one of my fav horror movies only because a few broads had there puppies barkin on the cover of the VHS:) if not for that I wouldn't have watched that or a hundred other flicks
jessepostal - 10/2/2012, 3:27 PM
Haha what about double team with Dennis rodman and Micky rourke! god I gotta watch some of those again
CorronZenith30 - 10/2/2012, 8:14 PM

elessarundomiel2382 - 10/3/2012, 2:41 AM
