OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an illusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.

Oldboy hits theaters October 11th, 2013.

WOW, he looks impressive. Respect, not that many actors look like that. And don't give me any bullshit about genetics.

You know what?!

I THINK WE JUST FOUND THE ACTOR THAT SHOULD'VE HAVE BEEN CAST AS WOLVERINE.

@shamo

his name is choi-min-sik. and while he may look more muscular, there is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD that brolin could ever do to surpass the performance that sik gave us. i'd say it was one of the finest performances in film history. one of those defining roles, you know? a korean version of a true 'acting transformation', along the lines of what daniel day lewis gives us. a real force to be reckoned with.

Doesnt take much to look like jonah hex, Tommy Lee Jones and George Bush are impressive though.

Will there be Zombies in this film? Because I see a Zombie in the pix behind the guy on the right.
soberchimera - 11/3/2012, 12:20 PM
I really hope it follows the manga more closely than the South Korean film, that way its not a shot-for-shot remake.
DioFoRio - 11/3/2012, 3:29 PM
@Shamo I hope they stay with the movies portrayal...it's more interesting than the manga from what I've seen

Cool that this film comes out when it does. If it gets an R rating I will just have turned old enough to see it by myself at the theatre.

REMAKES: The only way stupid fat people in the US can enjoy a good story made in another country.
damntree - 11/3/2012, 9:43 PM
Yeah, because American movies are never remade for other countries.
RobinNumbah6 - 11/3/2012, 10:29 PM
What's up with the guy in the top-right of the first pic? Is this going to be a highly stylized version of Oldboy?
hatrick3 - 11/4/2012, 6:40 AM
Brolin has been good in everything he's done since The Goonies. And he's married to Diane Lane! One of my heroes for that alone.
superpooper - 11/4/2012, 11:10 AM
I would much rather see him as Wolverine than Hugh Jagoff. Good call.
deezy707 - 11/4/2012, 11:45 AM
O snap that was him in the goonies I would have never realized
