Bryan Singer Announces Patrick Stewart & Ian McKellen For X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

I guess this is good news, although I was never THAT fond of McKellen's Magneto. Would have preferred for the focus to remain on Fassbender's version, but way too early to start fretting at this point!

HELL YES!! Awesome news, pumped for this movie. Only thing I really enjoyed about First Class was Fassbenders magneto so I'm glad they're getting back to the original trilogy in some way.

this movie is either going to be amazing for pulling off the best time-travel movie since Back To The Future, or it's going to be a complete shit show.

I can't wait to see how this plays out.This can be really good,or this will be really BAD!This could be good since Matthew Vaughn had helped develop the script before he left.


@Dionysis They have to have a big budget since this movie will involve time travel and hopefully Sentinels.If they do have Sentinels in this movie hopefully they don't stray too far away from the designs in the comics.

So if Patrick Stewart is in then it'll have to bridge before Last Stand, cause prof. X was killed in Last Stand. I know they had that thing with the comatose guy at the end but that was lame. If they have whatever happens in this movie separate Last Stand from everything else then I will be happy.

X-men + time-travel = Cable+apocalypse

This could be very cool. Really looking forward to Wolverine being recast soon. Jackman has done a good job, but I hope The Wolverine is his last outing.

Fantastic news! Of course they'll end up bringing back Hugh Jackman but I hope they don't bring back all of the cast for the sequel or anything, surely Singer will want to give a lot of focus to his own X-Men.

Wonder how Brett "Suckass" Rattner feels knowing that they have to undo his horrible X-3 crapsterpiece?

That film is an example of something that happens in comics all the time and nobody sees it happen: A creator is hired to take over a Comic but the creator cannot create so they start UNCREATING. They kill a couple characters, tear apart the main hero or heroes and usually fanboys sing their praise because it appears to be "DARKER".
Its because they cant actually create great stories so their only recourse is to undo, break, destroy, storylines that others did before them. The CREATOR community sees the trick for what it is, like Magicians knowing the secret of a Magic Trick.
But sadly Fanboys fall for this trick over and over and actually praise the HACKS that use it in comics and those HACKS build careers out of the trick.

Rattner's X-3 was horrible but just as horrible as some of the most popular and praised comics of the last 20 years that used the same methods.
