Bryan Singer Tweets (Possible) Opening Quote From X-MEN: DOFP

Singer's previous X-Men movies have opened with a voicover from Professor Xavier, explaining the finer details of evolution. But Singer's next X-flick may be opening with a quote from Charles Darwin's Origin Of The Species - it definitely adorns the cover of the screenplay anyway!..

Singer Tweeted the following image from a long distance flight, as he settled down to get stuck into the script for X-Men: Days Of Future Past..

Now some sites are reporting thsi as the "first official image from X-Men: DOFP!", but we wouldn't be so mean! There is a strong possibility that the Darwin quote will feature at the beginning of the movie in some form. In case that's too small for you to make out, the quote reads..

"As new species are formed through natural evolution, others will become rarer and rarer, and finally extinct. The forms which stand in closest competition with those undergoing modification and improvement will naturally suffer most."

Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart (?), Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hault will all be returning for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, due in theaters on July 18, 2014.

That could mean so many things as far the story, but it does wet the appetite. Fassbender and Stewart in the same film will make for a good time.

Josh Brolin for Cable. Unless they decide to recast Wolverine.

WHy all the hate for Singer? Did he not give us two great X-Men films? If I recall, X2 is still considered one of the greats in the anals of comic book movie history.

I'm not worried. With Mark Millar guiding the overall process and with Singer behind the wheel this could shape up to be something special.

The best marketing for this film is to pretend Bryan Singer has nothing to do with it....no one wants to hear or see anything from him.

Singer . . . you give me such boners when you try to justify your crappy writing & direction with pop-science.

OMG do you have to spell it all out so explicitly?

Evolution is wrong by the way. It's not a gaining of DNA, it's a loss of genes/DNA

They know what works now, and more importantly what we hated then. When DOFP turns out to be the best one yet, I'll be sitting back with my brows raised and arms crossed. This thing has tons of potential folks!

it really has.

And they wont be as stupid to not give the fans what they want this time.

Sentinels, uniforms similar to the comics, and bigger and better action sequences, and Team action.

And be sure guys that they will give us all of this time time. FC was the very first step in the right direction, comic costumes and team action. This sequel will be on a whole different level
