END OF YEAR POLL: What Was Your Most Disappointing CBM Of 2012?

END OF YEAR POLL: What Was Your Most Disappointing CBM Of 2012? END OF YEAR POLL: What Was Your Most Disappointing CBM Of 2012?

This was a pretty great year for comic book movies in fairness, which is why we're not asking which one you thought was the worst (would anyone not choose Ghost Rider 2?), but most disappointing. Any of these flicks REALLY let you down? Click on to vote..

So just to reiterate - you are not voting for the movie you felt was the worst, just the one that failed to meet up to your expectations and left you a frowning, disappointed shell of a CBMer! Vote away..

TASM, for me.
Could have been SO MUCH BETTER, but it was a terribly wasted opportunity.

I haven't seen all of the above listed movies, therefore I cannot vote. I have a feeling that it won't matter though, because none of the other ones disappointed me.

LEVITIKUZ, the entire editing team are working on these end of year polls. If you don't like em, don't vote or comment..seems pretty simple to me?

I was expecting GR2 to be bad, so I wasn't that disappointed in it. TDKR and TASM were almost a toss-up for me. The nod goes to TDKR because I went to see an epic Batman conclusion and somehow Batman was missing for most of the film.

I enjoyed the movie, but I gotta say that Amazing Spider-Man didn't live up to my incredibly high expectations.

TASM of course, it was so unnecessary and awful. It was a 1/5 for me.

Writing the polls isn't really the issue. It's obviously a flawed poll system, based on what we witnessed yesterday, so why keep putting out polls that don't reflect any semblance of an accurate vote?

I would have to say TDKR.

I was expecting Ghost Rider to be bad (it still had Cage after all) and I didn't think much of Spiderman before seeing it (and after for that matter.) I have been a huge fan of the Batman series since Begins and was expecting another perfect film from Nolan. Instead I got to see a really, really, really good one.

the dark knight rises

1st the dark knight rises(the first two are very good movies the third it had its moments but it wasn't all that.sorry i really can't see the appeal of this movie,i've seen it twice now & i wouldn't care if i saw it again.)

2nd the amazing spider-man(another disappointing movie had its moments but it could of been better)

3rd ghost rider spirit of vengeance(wasn't really disappointed,i never expected much in the first place.)

the avengers & dredd both had their fare share of flaws but for me they were the two best comic book movies of the year.

Most people just vote once, and most polls are accurate, From time to time some incredibly sad individuals will vote more frequently, but that's always taken into account and the results are not posted afterwards.

I know ROBOCOP Remake is gonna make 2013! :P

DREDD was quite enjoyable, being the low budget it had!

AVENGERS = Awesome!

New Spidey wasn't bad, Rises was a let down, especially last 5 to 10 minutes of it...

GR no comment :)

The Dark Knight Rises, no doubt about it. Hell, I had medium/low expectations and those weren't even met. Such a massive disappointment and overall fail, which pains me to no end, being a Batman fan.

It should have been called "The Dark Knight Crashes, Burns, Gives Up and Goes To A Paris Cafe."

It may be a bit too long, but it would've been better fit, that's for sure.
DrHorrible
DrHorrible - 12/20/2012, 7:53 AM
@teabag I think that "Saving Gotham" sliver should be smaller. It wasn't even him that saved Gotham. It was the floating scrap heap known as The Bat. LOL.

Hell, The Bat was more of a hero than Bats in the movie. At least it went out with a bang instead of faking it and running to Paris. ;)

Ghost Rider. Definitely Ghost Rider. Mostly because I'm a huge GR fan, and I was sorely pissed that he still got sh!t on by Sony. All the hype had my expectations higher, even though Nic Cage was still in the movie.

TASM wasn't a disappointment for me because I didn't have very high expectations, and Andrew Garfield's Spidey/Peter parker were SO much better (execution wise) than Tobey's. (Enough so that I didn't really notice the sub-par costume) Plus, TASM did a much better job at executing the fight scenes and web swinging in true Spidey fashion than the Raimi trilogy. (Watch it again. There were so many iconic poses and classic Spidey fight moves and tricks.) It might not have been a solid film, but Spider-Man was more like what I was expecting from the first three. I'm personally happy with TASM.

Knew Ghost Rider would be garbage
Had no expectation for TASM
TDKR could've been great but wasn't. Therefore..

I connected just fine with the characters in TDKR, even got a little emotional at times!:)

TASM was good, but I'd have to call it the most disappointing on the list. I mean nobody (sane) expected anything from Ghost Rider 2 anyway

Lee!!!!!! Holy crap! Long time no see! I miss seeing you here and the good ol' days where we had people who could disagree and still respect each other. :-D

"Most people just vote once, and most polls are accurate, From time to time some incredibly sad individuals will vote more frequently, but that's always taken into account and the results are not posted afterwards."

Yeah...right. I own some ocean front property here in Arizona too. lol I guess that means the results of yesterday's poll will not be posted? ;-) It's not just about people voting more frequently, its also about the system being easily and readily hacked to reflect 100's...and in the case of yesterday...1,000's of votes.

I would say Dark Knight Rises but it made a billion dollars which is sad because it took four super powered heroes to make what one non powered hero did.

@Goill: that first pic....[frick]ing hilarious

Hmm idk bout this one I really enjoyed avengers, spidey, and TDKR

I haven't seen dredd and I don't wanna tear my eyes out (reason I haven't watched GR)

Skip! :p

Spideyguy94 - 12/20/2012, 8:27 AM
TDKR for me. It's a good movie but its no where near as good as the first one, and it is so easy to pick apart.

I actually thought TASM was good, while it is nothing special unique or new, I really loved the characters. But I'm the type of person who can look past a mediocre plot if I really enjoy the characters. Perfect example of this is Peter David's hulk run while the plots aren't much to be desired, the character stuff is fantastic.

@Jollem That literally made no sense seeing as The Bat carried its nuke out, just like IRON MAN carried his nuke out.

In turn, Iron Man is the hero, unlike Baleman who likes to run away with random women and lets his father figure think him dead.

So...

Good day. :)

@Ror: I actually did expect more from Ghost Rider, and I'm sane. I expected more because I know it could be given, and considering the great lengths the filmmakers went to to film certain scenes (pulled behind a motorcycle on skates whilst holding a camera) I felt that they could have, make that SHOULD have, delivered something better.
What makes me insane is trying to figure out how anyone could put that much time and effort into a movie, and still wind up with a flaming bag of dog sh!t.
