First Stills From SUPERMAN: UNBOUND

You saw a behind the scenes video earlier on, now check out the first couple of official pics from DC's upcoming animated movie, which feature a small snap of Superman taking flight, as well as an image of Lois Lane comforting a weeping Supergirl.

In an interview with TV Guide, the movie's producer James Tucker commented on the men that will provide the voices for Superman and Brainiac.

On Matt Bomer..

"He had a jovial energy that was a little counter to what we usually do with Superman," Tucker says. "But he also had that decency in his voice that Superman really needs no matter which way you go with him."


On John Noble..

"I could listen to him all day. John had a lot of energy and he really got into the psychology of what was motivating Brainiac. He brought a level of intelligence, but also that slight bit of crazy that a super villain needs to have under the surface to make him compelling."

Matt Bomer is voicing Supes? Sweet. I've seen him in White Collar and this guys is pretty awesome. Him as Supes will do great. And man, DC Animations is just on a roll with their animated films.

Yipee kaiyay! Another Superman animated movie. Hmm what's next on their animated movie? Yep, it's another Batman. Way to go WB, that's ALL you've got.

Wy can't they draw like the Ruby Spears' Superman. Ever since Bruce Tim came out with crappy drawings every idiot animator/artist started following his crappy work.
Truly sad.

But as much as I enjoy watching DC Animations films of Superman and Batman, I'd really like to see more of other DC characters that aren't as highly popular as Supes and Bats. Maybe Green Arrow, Nightwing, Flash, Teen Titans, a Versus-type film (much like with Hulk Vs), Aquaman, etc. Just expand more and more on different characters besides Batman and Superman. But, other than that, keep up the great work DC. :)

I need to catch up on DCAU. I've yet to see Superman vs. The Elite and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1.

Yep, not Gary Frank-ish at all, but again, I'm not surprised - if they can adapt his style to animation, I'll praise it with all my heart! Love the Brainiac story arc, and I love the cast even more, so this is a must-see to me.

Kevin Conroy said in an interview that they're working on Flashpoint.
I'd be so [frick]ing stoked if it actually got released.
Then maybe we'd see New 52 Animated Films.
But yeah @Fearless, I'd love it if they made Quiver or a Red Robin or Nightwing movie.
An Aquaman movie would be great to show how good of a character he actually is.
They could do SO much with showcasing more of the characters on their own.
But it's Warner Brothers. What can one really ask for, you know?

The DC animated films are great. While Superman and the Elite wasn't artistically to my liking, the story and characterizations were great. DC needs to do some features with other heroes. I would love to see the JSA or Aquaman.

marvel animation and dc animation should come togetherto adapt marvel vs dc and marvel should do more for there animated universe like dc has 2 animated universes the old one and the new one

FINALLY! My dream to have Matt Bomer (loved him as Bryce Larkin on Chuck) playing Superman is FINALLY fulfilled!!!! Also, John Noble is a great choice for Brainiac. Love him as Walter Bishop on FRINGE, and his character seems like that kind of person.

@LEVITIKUZ Yes, they are making Flashpoint an animated movie, but it's going to be centered more around the JL than the Flash. They're calling it JUSTICE LEAGUE" FLASHPOINT. Which makes more sense to me now that I think about it.

Immediately thought of Nic Cage when I saw the face. Long straight nose and large lower lip took me there. Google it if you haven't seen photos of him in the suit. It will make you weep. Makes me not want to watch this one...

Im a big Castle fan and I love that they have Stana Katic playing Lois and Molly Quinn playing Supergirl, Castle's two sexiest ladies. Now if we could get a cameo of Nathan as Green Lantern, we would be set lol

movie looks good though, love the DC animated movies

I don't like the animation style. I love the voice cast though, so I'll give it a watch.

Y'all want an animated movie about WW? GL? Martian Manhunter? Aquaman? Teen Titans?

Than people have to buy the non Supes, Bats, JL animated movies.

As soon as they make Flashpoint and move into a DCnU direction, I'm done buying DC animated
