Personally I love Inception. I don't know if it's quite as clever as it thinks it is - or some fans seem to think it is for that matter - but I don't care, it's a damn entertaining movie. That being said, the following "honest trailer" is just as sharp and funny as the other ones, whether you happen to like the movie or not..

In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job to date: Inception.

That last part... "If Cobb can't enter the country, couldn't Michael Caine just fly the kids out to him?"
That just made most of the plot redundant...

Damn it! They've just ruined my favourite film for me D:

Inception sucks

BattlinMurdock - 1/8/2013, 9:42 AM
EXPOSITION: THE MOVIE is entertaining, and I enjoy it.

But I just cannot get past the fact the entire film sounds like the pitch Nolan gave the studios.
Ranger14 - 1/8/2013, 9:44 AM
I fell asleep watching it. Not my cup of tea.
LOL - 1/8/2013, 9:48 AM
LMFAO at the last line, totally nerfed the movie down to nothing with pure LOGIC.

...oh, and My COCAINE!
UltimaRex - 1/8/2013, 9:49 AM
@Mucklefluga. Yeah, nothing says idyllic childhood than constantly running from interpol with a father who may or may not have killed your mother...

And yes, if anyone has watched that trailer I'll assume they've seen the movie.
silverdog - 1/8/2013, 9:50 AM
"from the director of 2 good batman movies"...
Varunn1602 - 1/8/2013, 9:53 AM
Haters, say all you want but Chris Nolan is one of the very few intellectual directors who could pull off such a film without making it a disaster. Imagine what would have happened if Michael Bay directed it. It would have been a full-on action movie with lame one-liners here and there and it also wouldn't have the depth in the characters and plots. Even Joss Whedon couldn't pull off such a film. So don't give the lame excuse that Whedon>Nolan.
This is coming from a guy who didn't think once about which was the better film between TDKR and The Avengers. It's obviously the latter. So don't kill me for posting such a comment.
My friend @thewonderer ain't I right?
Spidey91 - 1/8/2013, 9:57 AM
the new voice isn't as good as the old one.
also,the cast of TDKR,LMAO :P

i wanted to laugh..but....now its just being nitpicking like they did in rises one....i liked their other honest trailers so much...tdk one was really good!
BIGBMH - 1/8/2013, 10:36 AM
They should have just included JGL in their "the cast of The Dark Knight Rises" part.
UltimaRex - 1/8/2013, 10:38 AM
Oh, did I just ruin the punchline?

Sorry.
Squish - 1/8/2013, 10:45 AM
Where is Wonderbread?
Godzillafart - 1/8/2013, 10:49 AM
I enjoyed Inception.

But, like most of Nolan's films, its dramatic and intellectual level is substantially lower than it pretends it is.

Outside of "The Prestige", Nolan has yet to create a character I am emotionally invested in at all.
Scooby - 1/8/2013, 10:51 AM
Great movie :) The kids were probably under some sort of surveillance or something - if they were leaving the country they would've been tracked leading to Cobb. This was ok, not their best Honest Trailer.
bagadoosh - 1/8/2013, 10:51 AM
twilight still their finest work
RorMachine - 1/8/2013, 10:56 AM
he whole "why didn't he bring the kids to him" thing makes for a good punchline but as a serious critique of the film it's completely redundant - the point was that Cobb wanted to return HOME and couldn't, I'm sure he considered the option of his kids coming to him and growing up with a nomadic criminal and dismissed it!
FOOM - 1/8/2013, 10:57 AM
Funny stuff.
@Godzillafart You totally nailed it there with that last post.
teabag - 1/8/2013, 10:59 AM

Word.
Kyos - 1/8/2013, 11:08 AM
Hahaha, the Leo/Cillian pics alone were worth the making of this movie. I actually haven't seen most of those posted here, great stuff! :D
SageMode - 1/8/2013, 11:10 AM
That was hilarious
White - 1/8/2013, 11:12 AM
One of the most overrated movies ever. But it's okay movie.
DrHorrible - 1/8/2013, 11:14 AM
@Tea ;)

superotherside - 1/8/2013, 11:15 AM
Brilliant film but that was funny. XD
StreetProdigy - 1/8/2013, 11:21 AM
They couldn't just fly the kids out. If the police are looking for a murderer I'm sure flying his kids out of the country would raise some red flags and make it easier to track and extradite him. Not to mention I don't think they would make the process of obtaining passports for kids to meet their murdering father an easy one. Just saying
Equivocal - 1/8/2013, 11:33 AM
Nolanites

must be shitting !!!

LMFAO !!!!!
teabag - 1/8/2013, 11:38 AM
Dr@ lol..

:P
ckal - 1/8/2013, 11:43 AM
But, what do you mean? Inception is the FOURTH BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME after:

1) TDK
2) TDKR
3) Shawshank
4) Inception

=)
Squaremaster - 1/8/2013, 11:44 AM
@StreetProdigy

Also, seeing as how Cobb is a fugitive wanted for murder, my guess is that he no longer has custody of the children, it was established that their grandmother does, and only those who have custody can sign documents to allow the to travel outside the country, which I seriously doubt she would considering that the murder Cobb is being accused of is her daughter's.

Even if you ignored the massive plot holes that would be brought up if they actually did fly the kids out, what kind of world would they be flying the kids into? One where they are constantly in danger and on the run from local authorities and hit-men from rival companies that are trying to kill their father?
DrHorrible - 1/8/2013, 11:52 AM
@Tea OKAY! OKAY! You win. I applaud and congratulate you.

Just know I'm abstaining because I'm too lazy to find any more memes. ;)

Durf - 1/8/2013, 11:56 AM
I like the movie, but this was actually fairly funny. But like others have said, this isn't their best work and the voice they had before this was much better

@tea and @DrH: LMFAO! Good shit man
teabag - 1/8/2013, 11:57 AM
Dr@ lol well its search for memes or have sex with the Mrs..yep Mem's won :)
Kyos - 1/8/2013, 12:25 PM
Inspection, I love it! :D
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 1/8/2013, 1:07 PM
They suck now. The only funny ones they made were for The Dark Knight and Avengers.
marvel72 - 1/8/2013, 2:04 PM
i really liked inception thought it was very good movie but i've only seen it three times so my opinion may change if i saw it again.

its funny how some of you think there is no way caine can fly the kids out to see leo but except bruce getting back into gotham without a passport or money in the dark knight rises.

@ teabag
@ drhorrible

you two have owned this thread, some funny shit. :D
DaCottDamnBatman - 1/8/2013, 2:27 PM
OH LAWD YOU GUYS DONE DID IT! I'VE BEEN REFRAMING FROM MAKING THIS COMMENT FOR THE LONGEST! I LOVED INCEPTION AND THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD MOVIE BUT HOW DOES NOLAN MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT ENTERING PEOPLES DREAM TO STEAL OR PLANT IDEAS IN PEOPLES HEAD, FIGHT SCEENS IN A HOTAL HALLWAY ON THE FRICKING CEILING BUT YOU TALK ABOUT REALISM IN A FRICKING BATMAN MOVIE. TO ME NOLAN JUST HAD NO INTEREST IN BATMAN OR CBM MOVIES... CAN'T SAY NO IMAGINATION CAUSE INCEPTION OBVIOUSLY SHOWS HE HAS SOME KIND OF IMAGINATION
Yeaton10 - 1/8/2013, 2:29 PM
That is entertaining, but I would point out that you said it was made by the director of two really good Batman movies. Those two movies would have to include The Dark Knight. The same people made an honest trailer for The Dark Knight.

I conclude either you committed a continuity error yourself or you take these things as seriously as I do (jokes with little baring on the actual merit of the movie).

Good Job Though
BenderDickCumPatch - 1/8/2013, 4:05 PM
Worst film, but so good....

wut.
Mercwitham0uth - 1/8/2013, 4:24 PM
