Nice.
SuperDude001 - 1/31/2013, 6:05 AM
Looks awesome...just he doesn't look like Wolverine to me...or at least Jackman's Wolverine at all.
The short hair is awkward and the beard is too sharply cut, no animal quality to him. Also he looks surprising skinny which is almost kinda worrying.
Though still he looks like a badass so I'm looking forward to this film.
TheRealEnrico - 1/31/2013, 6:09 AM
He looks sharp.(pun intended) But seriously something seems off about his claws.
Nomis1800 - 1/31/2013, 6:09 AM

Valandil - 1/31/2013, 6:23 AM
This is not Wolverine. It's like the CBS version of Wolverine.

What he looks good and more mature. And the traditional custom shall in future reboots.
shadearts - 1/31/2013, 6:31 AM
I thought he was putting on more weight in this one then the other movies he looks skinner
thewonderer - 1/31/2013, 6:33 AM
Jackman stated that he ate six meals a day in preparation for the role. Jackman contacted Dwayne Johnson for some tips on bulking up for the movie. Johnson suggested that for six months, gain a pound a week, by eating 6,000 calories a day which consisted of "an awful lot of chicken, steak and brown rice".

Theres that other still of Jackman ripped.

Mans dedicated
Giznad - 1/31/2013, 6:33 AM
omg, my favorite character has cartoon claws AGAIN.
StrangerX - 1/31/2013, 6:35 AM
Looks like he's going to a funeral
gambgel - 1/31/2013, 6:37 AM
the claws are clearly photoshooped. The light is wrong, too intense and too much contrast
Hitboyj - 1/31/2013, 6:39 AM
ppl give it a break his smart DoNE!
Dev7 - 1/31/2013, 6:45 AM
Looking badass as usual. This movie is 3rd on list to Iron Man 3 and Thor 2. :)
jimoakley666 - 1/31/2013, 6:51 AM
@gambgel - This is a movie still and all claws in The Wolverine are props, no cg. The background is blurred so that may be what's throwing your eye.

This looks ace. I wonder if this is the first funeral in the movie (Wolverine's WW2 contact who summons him to Japan) or the, ahem, second funeral. You know who I mean...
CASH - 1/31/2013, 6:51 AM
Those Claws are photoshopped mirror images of each other. Reminds me of that horrible scene from the first Wolverine movie when he was in the bathroom on the farm. The worst fx of the claws I'd ever seen. I was in shock it was so bad. How that made it to the final film is beyond me and it looks like it's happening again. Piss poor.
jimoakley666 - 1/31/2013, 6:54 AM
@TelaVizion - "...b4 Asia got attacked...". What? Japan was hit by an earthquake and tsunami. The whole continent of Asia wasn't attacked by anything / anyone.
marvel72 - 1/31/2013, 6:54 AM
this is really looking good it,f*ckin better be.
jimoakley666 - 1/31/2013, 6:55 AM
@CASH - Once again, the director and Jackman have both previously confirmed on several occasions, no cg claws in this one.
CASH - 1/31/2013, 6:57 AM
@jimoakley666 Then this is a bad photoshop of the props. It's obviously mirrored.
yingyangpalms - 1/31/2013, 6:59 AM
I agree that the claws look really bad in that pic but a larger issue is: Why do they think that pic helps sell the film?
JDUKE25 - 1/31/2013, 7:00 AM
Cool.. (sarcasm)
ToTheManInTheColdSweat - 1/31/2013, 7:03 AM
meh.

give me a wolverine i'ven't seen in the last 5 movies.
jimoakley666 - 1/31/2013, 7:09 AM
@CASH - It first glance they appear to be. Zoom in and they're not. The left hand inner claws reflects more polarised light, the left hand outer claw has a sharper sheen on the top edge. They're also at slightly different angles. If these ARE photoshopped, it's the blurred background that throws the eye. Although they have no reason to photoshop claws in on a movie still when they're using practical claws, as seen in every set picture that has leaked thus far.
cyked - 1/31/2013, 7:12 AM
No CG claws in this one? Well, they forgot to tell the guys who doctored this picture. I agree with Cash, Gambgel, Giznad, etc.

Yeah, I remember that bathroom scene and those ultra-cartoony claws. I'm thinking --- jeesh, they've got millions of dollars' worth of a budget? And they honestly think these cartoon claws look real?

Hate to burst bubbles, but I'm a Graphic Designer. This photo may have started out with 'real' claws, but they were definitely 'enhanced' with graphic work.
Not a single shadow is cast on any knuckle, there should be a pinpoint of reflected light uniformly distributed/reflected on each claw, the chairoscuro seems oddly blurred..... yeah. He probably did wear props for the shoot, but they gummed it up in post.
Rowsdower - 1/31/2013, 7:13 AM
BERSERKER BARRAGE!

Wolverine. The Wolverine.
Jolt17 - 1/31/2013, 7:28 AM
I'm wondering what kind of scene he appears like this in. Must be an interesting one...I mean, what does the suit do there? He looks good in it, though.
jimoakley666 - 1/31/2013, 7:35 AM
@cyked - I'm an illustrator and graphic designer too. So... no bubbles burst.

There wouldn't be a sharp shadow on his knuckles because the light source clearly seen under his hands is refracted from the highly polished floor. Instead, you would get a slight edge on shadow, as seen at the top of the inner right hand claw. A pinpoint light wouldn't show on a non-flat surface. It travels up the edge, as it is here and bounces off the right edge, as also seen on his shoulder and face. Also, you can see the pressure poins around the claws, on his left hand, where the prop is digging into his hand between the knuckles. Once again, if props are worn there would be no need to photoshop them. Specially on a movie still. To people saying that they are mirrored in photoshop due to similar light, look at the tops of his hands. The shadows are almost exactly the same. But they are very obviously two different hands.
direct2logan - 1/31/2013, 7:37 AM
"Still wish we could see him in a more traditional costume,"

PUT HIM IN HIS COSTUME!! Come on already. Will this be Wolverine or the Hugh Jackman show?
jessepostal - 1/31/2013, 7:39 AM
I'm gonna nitpick like everyone else, why are his claws always so shiny :)
jessepostal - 1/31/2013, 7:46 AM
I'd imagine this is from a funeral scene, that would be why
Minato - 1/31/2013, 7:56 AM
So they are saying this is the quintessential depiction of Wolverine??? I don't see it yet. Ive seen Logan go to many funerals and normally hes in a t-shirt or his costume. Very rarely do I ever see logan dressed this sharply.
gambgel - 1/31/2013, 7:58 AM
@CASH

Its true!!!! The claws are the same claw! lol, just copied and pasted

Wow, one would guess the marketing team had more money and time to do better official stuff, but it doesnt seem so :/

I just hope the Days of future past marketing material is superior than this
