UPDATED Teaser For Christopher Nolan's "Inception"

A quick glimpse at the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's new Sci -Fi thriller, "Inception" starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The bootleg trailer has been replaced with the new official one
Not a comic book movie, but i thought it would be interesting to see what drew Nolan's attention away from getting straight to work on another Batman!

Its impossible to tell any plot details from this and the only description for the movie so far has been.."Inception is a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind"

Great cast for this one. As well as DiCaprio it stars Ken Watanebe, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy and Michael Caine.

Its scheduled to hit theaters on July 16th, 2010.

SabretoothTiger - 8/22/2009, 10:06 AM
GORDON LEVITT IS IN THE MOVIE TOO...THAT GUY COULD PLAY JOKER, HE SORTA LOOKS LIKE LEADGER.
GUNSMITH - 8/22/2009, 10:10 AM
Good find Ror :)
teabag - 8/22/2009, 10:13 AM
AN ACT, PROCESS OR INSTANCE OF BEGINNING, COMMENCEMENT..SO IT MIGHT BE KINDA LIKE MOMENTO..EITHER TIME TRIPPING AND FLASHBACKS LEADING TO AN END OR ONE OF THOSE MYSTERY TILL THE END DEALIOS
GUNSMITH - 8/22/2009, 10:14 AM
Well if Nolan is involved i will check this out...the guy ressurected Batman...he is a very good director. Gordon Levitt needs a role to take away the bad taste in everyone
s mouth after that horrendous Cobra Commander role...the movie was sorry...i mean it's a good popcorn movie but for fans of GI Joe it sucked...and he's a good actor too..my favorite movie with him is Brick...classic movie.
TheREALHumanTorch - 8/22/2009, 10:16 AM
Yes Gunsmith, He does. A lot of people have been talking about that on the boards. He is a great actor and he does resemble Heath a lot. And now it's quite awesome that he's had the opportunity to work with Nolan directly. So one can only hope.

The trailer certainly looks great though. Nolan without a doubt can bring that dramatic feel to the table with anything. I remember this episode of Rocko's Modern Life a few years back where they had this fluke television show that had just focused on a jar of mayonnaise for like a half hour. I bet Nolan could even bring the intensity to something as ridiculous as that. Half in the music, the other half in the direction. Can't wait!
Pym - 8/22/2009, 10:16 AM
Um cool, doubt id go an see it at the flicks though lol.

Plus i don't think its a good idea to replace LEVITT with HEATH at all, it just ain't right, just becoz the guy looks like him a bit, its like replacing HEATH altogether an im sure the family will not like it at all! Anyway JOKER ain't got even a part in BATS 3??? Has he?
LEEE777 - 8/22/2009, 10:45 AM
Who knows if there will even be a Bats 3! Its all still up in the air.

I will certainly be seeing this, Nolan has never made a bad movie and i can't see why he would start now.
RorMachine - 8/22/2009, 10:54 AM
Looks really cool. All star cast, excellent director, sci-fi storyline, sounds awesome.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 10:55 AM
Didnt like the Prestige tho....something about it i couldnt connect with :(
teabag - 8/22/2009, 10:57 AM
leee why would it not be right just cause he died lots of actors have died makin movies i mean it is tragic but that goes for when anyone dies except for dictators and rapists who deserve it but i mean you cant have batman and no joker or it will turn into

SabretoothTiger - 8/22/2009, 10:58 AM
I loved the Prestige. One of my top 10 fav. movies. The twist was crazy, and Hugh and Bale were both incredible in it.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 11:00 AM
SABRE @ ARGHHHHH my eyes!!!!! ; D

B&R NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
LEEE777 - 8/22/2009, 11:18 AM

SabretoothTiger - 8/22/2009, 11:37 AM
Sabre@ that must of been the credits ..lol ...nah maybe il have to give it another go....it came out the same time as the Edward Norton Magician film..anyone see that ?? :)
teabag - 8/22/2009, 11:39 AM
wow
AvengingAngel1022 - 8/22/2009, 11:39 AM
The Prestige was a Masterpiece!
DDD - 8/22/2009, 11:40 AM
Ror, some people just don't know how to make a bad movie, Nolan is one of them.
DDD - 8/22/2009, 11:43 AM
It really is a masterpiece. You have to watch the whole thing from beginning to end. It's absolutely brilliant.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 11:44 AM
I watched it from begining to end and just felt nothing.....not hate no love....just meh!!!...like i said tho il shall watch it again :)
teabag - 8/22/2009, 11:47 AM
The Illusionist is a good movie too but Ed Norton doesn't know how to act bad.
DDD - 8/22/2009, 11:48 AM
ya i definitely have to get that one and watch it all cause at first i was like what the hell when did hugh jackman and christian bale do a movie together lol
SabretoothTiger - 8/22/2009, 11:49 AM
teabag: I guess it's not for everyone, but it was certainly for me :)
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 11:50 AM
I really hate the Bale-bashing ever since his tirade caught out of context. Everybody cusses when they are under that much pressure and everything goes wrong...why are people so quick to judge...Krap! He is an excellent actor, one of the world's best.
DDD - 8/22/2009, 11:52 AM
I don't hate Bale either, his tirade did go a bit farther than it should have, but I can understand it.

I love to quote it and make fun of it though :) It's hilarious.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 11:53 AM
I dont know DDD...ive never been a fan of Bale since before American Phsyco.( his best performance)..other than that movie he seems to play the same guy but with great scripts and dialogue....where as i think an actor should be able to bcome differant people convincingly ...but thats probably just me again :)
teabag - 8/22/2009, 11:55 AM
American Psycho was awesome.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 11:56 AM
ya bale is one of the best actors weve had in awhile i loved his tirade it was the funniest thing ever thats how you cuss someone out i mean ya he took it a little far but i mean if one of your coworkers came to you while you were hard at work and just started messin with it(like cleanin your keyboard if you work on a computer or somethin) you would be like what the hell get away ive gotta finish this shit dont you see im right here but it wouldnt have gone that far i think maybe he was takin some kind of steroid or somethin which made him blow up even more
SabretoothTiger - 8/22/2009, 12:02 PM
(dont read this if you havent seen prestige) Tyler do me a favor I LOVE the prestige but theres just one thing I cant get over. Bale had a twin from the get go but did he trick HUGH into cloning himself? becuase the way they set it up it was written in bales diary ya know?
Set2Fallfirst - 8/22/2009, 12:14 PM
Set: Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I haven't seen it in a while and I never fully understood what happened.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 12:17 PM
yea but for some reason it made me love it more.
Set2Fallfirst - 8/22/2009, 12:21 PM
Me too. The ambiguity and mystery surrounding the story kept me hooked and made the movie even better.
InTylerWeTrust82 - 8/22/2009, 12:26 PM
i cant see how this movie could be bad, its nolan. i also loved the prestige, one of my all time faves. check out my avengers poster in fan-fic!

woo hoo!
jallanr - 8/22/2009, 12:49 PM

video prototype - 8/22/2009, 3:42 PM
Looks interesting, but I need to see more.
Bandrews1 - 8/22/2009, 5:13 PM
nolan, bale, gordon levitt, johnny depp, kate beckinsale, guy pearce, phil seymour hoffmann...anyone say batman 3?
Anil Rickly - 8/22/2009, 5:26 PM
BAT 3 WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE JOKER, STATED GOYER IN A INTERVIEW WAY BACK, BATMAN WAS TO CATCH AND IMPRISON HIM BUT IT WOULD BE BATMANS BIG MISTAKE. HONESTLLY LET LEVITT PLAY JOKER, JOKER IN ITSELF IS A CHARACTER TO JUICY TO LET FADE AWAY..IF AT ALL, IF LEVITT PLAYED IT JUST LIKE HEATH, IT WOULD BE HONORING HIM. I SAY POLL...WHICH ACTOR SHOULD RE-JOKER US??, MY VOTE IS FOR LEVITT.
GUNSMITH - 8/22/2009, 5:38 PM
THEY SHOULD JUST NAME BATMAN 3 "GOTHAM"
GUNSMITH - 8/22/2009, 5:40 PM
Someone asked for boobs....

SirPrize - 8/22/2009, 5:44 PM
@DDD "Ror, some people just don't know how to make a bad movie, Nolan is one of them."

hmm I beg to differ- Nolan's Following was somewhat naff- it was an early and low budget attempt though- a valiant take on neo-noir marred by lame plot twists and amateurish acting
betaraybob - 8/22/2009, 5:57 PM
i guess we can put whatever news we like on the site now.

also this trailer sucks.
grif - 8/22/2009, 6:51 PM

flames809 - 8/22/2009, 10:25 PM
Michael Caine is in like every Nolan film now.
Hesse - 8/22/2009, 11:04 PM
Yup nolan does repeat his cast members,cool/great directors tend to do that-Guy Ritchie,Chan woon park(Check out The Vengeance Trilogy if you havent) etc.Love Nolan man plus Leo Di Cap's in it this movie can do no wrong
darkclaw89 - 8/23/2009, 12:28 AM
Guys, I just saw this teaser trailer for Inception tonight on the big screen when I went to see Basterds! Was totally better than this on the big screen - some of it may be done in IMAX. Of course they advertise it by saying "FROM THE DIRECTOR OF THE DARK KNIGHT". But I have to say, it did send chills up my spine, and looked god damn incredible. It was only like 30 seconds, so I barely had time to take any of it in. LOOKED CRAZY! people were being like pushed up against the ceiling while the room was moving and the camera was rotating around. Looked almost like nothing I've ever seen before.

@Sirprize hahaha dude, I know it is has probably never been said by any male that you can have too much boobs, but I think that second pic did me in.
48and2 - 8/23/2009, 1:50 AM
@Gunsmith on the topic of Batman 3, I have seen it suggested so many times, here and in other places (and I know you guys write so many fanfics, which I haven't checked into very much, but I intend to). But the "escallation" theme needs to get notched up to a new level. I really think a whole movie (or at least enough for the main story) could be based off a Johnny Depp Riddler doing a Zodiac type killing spree, with puzzles and clues - just as the main plot anyway. I mean if you know anything about the real Zodiac, it's some pretty intense shit.

The Joker needs to rest for now, and can be brought back later. It was really left perfectly ambiguous that they don't need to touch him, and take that risk of having a sub par performance or the trilogy at least.

I know so many of you guys are against the Riddler, let alone a Johnny Depp Riddler, but I think that has more potential than anything else I have seen mentioned. I also hate to say it, but they'd better make it before Caine and/or Freeman pass away - you get that cast together an it has the potential to at least equal the Dark Knight.

And they need to give him a stealth bomber for the batwing (it could even carry the tumbler inside the bombbay).

48and2 - 8/23/2009, 2:12 AM
SirPrize@ that pic nearly choked me lol........

teabag - 8/23/2009, 2:24 AM
Intruiging. Nolan is a true master of his craft!
wards - 8/23/2009, 3:55 AM
Nolan's a master. Anyone know the origin of this movie? Is it original? Was it a book?
Dr. Donald Draper - 8/23/2009, 12:40 PM
Michael Caine seems to be in all of Nolan's movies
padidas - 8/23/2009, 5:03 PM
Its from an original story by nolan and his brother, jonathan.
wards - 8/24/2009, 10:47 AM
this looks crazy i wanna see why they are flyin around the hall like that its got my brain thinkin what the hell lol
SabretoothTiger - 8/24/2009, 11:11 AM

lilej2 - 8/24/2009, 11:54 AM
MATRIX-EE
GUNSMITH - 8/24/2009, 5:02 PM
I thought Matrix the moment I saw it, and I almost said that in my earlier post. Does very much so.
48and2 - 8/24/2009, 7:11 PM
Nolan will not pull a Spiderman 3. He will out do himself and go insane in the prcess. It will be his Apocolypse Now.
MarkV - 8/24/2009, 9:55 PM
once more..... Nolan is a douche.
sirbonesalot - 8/25/2009, 4:43 AM
There is speculation that the film could be about entering peoples minds/dreams. The main character and his team are possibly working to enter the minds of other characters in order to retrieve and plant information. After watching the trailer this explanation could be right on.
Minotauro - 8/25/2009, 8:43 PM
nolan is full of himself.
