Tron: Legacy Gets A Release Date, Goes Head To Head With Green Hornet

Walt Disney Pictures has now scheduled "Tron: Legacy" to appear in theaters on December 17th, 2010, the same weekend "Green Hornet is scheduled to open...
Both movies also face kiddie competition with "Yogi Bear" and "The Smurfs" opening.

It's likely either "Hornet" or "Tron" will change their release date...and unless "Green Hornet" really wows folks with some great footage, my money is on the Seth Rogen movie pulling out of the game of chicken. "Tron" is a much more anticipated movie as things stand.

"Tron Legacy" is directed by Joseph Kosinski and stars Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett, and Michael Sheen. Check out the concept trailer here.

I know, its posted exactly from the source, i already mailed Watchtower about it.
RorMachine - 9/3/2009, 7:06 PM
I didn't post it exactly from the site. It might be similar but how can you make it not similar if you get the information from a site. The only part that i copied verbatim was the synopsis.

and your part about the cast and crew is posted verbatim from worst previews
Watchtower31 - 9/3/2009, 7:21 PM
Yes, thats general information! There is only so many ways you can write who is starring in the movie. Dude i checked, your article was identical. You need to take the information and write your own article on it. Quotes are fine obviously, and the odd paragraph.

Hey guys!!!! Check out my Part 2 of my Spider-Man story in FanFic!!!!
TheCritic17 - 9/3/2009, 10:44 PM
I want to see a sequel to Tron but I am scared of it sucking big time. I hope I am wrong. Mabey it will be like the first season of the New Battlestar Galactica when it did not suck, not like seasons 2-end when it went strait to suck.

TRON is the reason for about one year of my childhood no stuffed animal, person, pet, or stationary object was safe from the wrath of my Frisbee.

I had “those parents” you know the ones that know their kids are going to get hurt in childhood and don’t fret about it. I was lucky. Hell, Dad brought me back a bull whip from Texas… A good one… after I saw Indie, I was swinging off everything in that yard, man. God bless my folks [Weird how you can say things like that at 30]. (Sigh) They gave me a childhood of go-carts, bikes (no helmet),comics, BB guns, firearms, fireworks, a motorcycle (helmet that time), matches, GI Joes, and enough trusting unsupervised play time to use them all to the fullest. And you know what? I’ve never shot up a post office, became a serial killer, had a serious psychosis, I graduated college, married a cute smart pixie of a girl, and still managed to come out with all my fingers and toes… Plus a few concussions, broken bones, scars, the knowledge of what it feels like to actually BE on fire and a better grasp of the swing physics of a machete… ow and general knowledge of what it feels like to see your life flash before your eyes. But it was [frick]ING AWESOME!!!

nerosday - 9/3/2009, 11:46 PM
@Nerosday, Been there with the machete physics! lol My parents (Bless them too!) let me explore like yours and I think I'm a pretty well-adjusted easy-going kinda guy! And it WAS awesome! My dad taught me how to use firearms in a responsible way.

And Tron really ROCKED! Can't wait for this movie! I hope its good!
DDD - 9/4/2009, 12:19 AM
That is awesome, nerosday! I love that post! America was great wasn't it? Ahhhhh. Now nanny-state America will make sure we'll never get hurt...
Phinehas - 9/4/2009, 12:22 AM
Glad to see Phin and DDD had similar childhood learnig curve. My Dad in a nut shell; "Don't do that." [CRASH] "See, hurt didn't it? Now stop crying. The band aids are on the second shelf. And come back out here and clean this up." me: "(sniff) M'kay Daddy."

And yes in the south we say Daddy, no matter how old we are. We frown on saying Mommy though. The correct Southernese is Mamma. Or Mom, Dad, Sir, or Ma'am are also acceptable the latter two especially if you were in trouble. Lol
nerosday - 9/4/2009, 12:36 AM
LOL For the uninitiated:

A dissertation on machete physics:
by Dr. Nero.

The proportionate wobble of a thin 30 inch blade deflects oddly in relation to its target in greater degree with the greater force applied on the downward swing. Barring a solid and proper application of force directly to the area of maximum curvature at apex point minus three inches said blade will deflect wildly down and inward toward the force applier's lower appendages. This usually results in sever lacerations of the lower appendage at or below the knee, resulting in massive blood loss, application of no less than thirty stitches and a gnarly six inch scar and minor nerve damage to the pedal extremities.

Recommendation: application of swing along the X axis plus or minus 45 degrees away from the body is preferable to one along the Y axis at 0 degrees.

Awesome.

Now you know. And knowing...
nerosday - 9/4/2009, 12:55 AM
YUP! O-o-o-o-oh! (Moan-Moan) lol
DDD - 9/4/2009, 1:28 AM
Wow so many Tron fans I've never seen it.
StrangemannX09 - 9/4/2009, 6:09 AM
I'm really interested in seeing this movie. I love it that Jeff Bridges came back. Is it just me or does the sequel look a good deal darker than the original?
longbowhunter - 9/4/2009, 7:10 AM
...is half the battle.

Well done, Nerosday! Well done. (applauding)

Not from the South. I was raised in Arizona...with the lizards. They taught me much. Nothing freer than a lizard. Except for the red-tailed hawk that swoops down to eat 'em!
I learned to shoot and tie rope. What else does a boy need to know, other than knowing how to catch?
Phinehas - 9/4/2009, 10:36 AM
They might as well kick GH while it's down. They'll probably push it back again.
Dr. Donald Draper - 9/4/2009, 12:33 PM

Wonder why it's coming out so late. I mean they already have a trailer for it and Green Hornet just started filming. Guess it's its' post production.
