RASL to Become Movie
According to Deadline, Lionel Wigram has repeated the steps he took with Robert Downey Jr.'s Sherlock Holmes by tapping into a graphic novel and turning it into a film. This time he's turned to Jeff Smith's RASL, which is now en route to becoming a Warner Bros. feature.
Offers the article, "[It's] a black-and-white science fiction noir comic book series written and drawn by Jeff Smith. RASL is an ex-military scientist-turned-art thief who jumps to parallel universes to steal treasured pieces of art. During these trips, he gets discovered by his former employer, and finds himself trying to protect the world's most dangerous secret."
RASL was brought to Wigram's attention by a colleague and immediately optioned the rights.
