Andy Serkis Simulates A Conversation Between Gollum And Caesar On CONAN
"My Preciousss..." With Matt Reeves' upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hitting theaters shortly, late night TV host Conan O'Brien got the film's motion capture master Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings) on the show. Watch Gollum and Caesar have a chat after the jump.
While this video isn't really comic book related, it's pretty gosh dang awesome, as two of your favorite motion capture characters are brought to life by the man behind the voices himself, Andy Serkis. If you're happy about this, don't forget, this guy's gonna be in Star Wars: Episode VII.
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield, Let Me In), from a screenplay written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The cast includes: Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Public Enemies, The Great Gatsby), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises, The Harry Potter film series), Keri Russell (The Americans, Mission Impossible III), Toby Kebbell (The Prince of Persia, Wrath of the Titans, Rock N Rolla), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In, ParaNorman), Enrique Murciano (Traffic, Black Hawk Down), Kirk Acevedo (The Thin Red Line) and Judy Greer (The Descendants, Three Kings, 13 Going on 30). The film climbs into theaters July 11, 2014.
