Jessica Chastain Would Love To Play A Superhero: "I Want To Wear A Cool Costume"

Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain has yet to appear in any major blockbusters, but recently told the Guardian that she "would love to do a superhero movie! I would have loved to have played Black Widow. Obviously, Scarlett Johansson scored the role of Black Widow in Iron Man 2, but Chastain has "gotten really close" in the past, dropping out of Iron Man 3 due to scheduling conflicts a few years ago. "The problem is, if I do a superhero movie, I don't want to be the girlfriend. I don't want to be the daughter. I want to wear a [frick]ing cool costume with a scar on my face, with fight scenes. That’s what I'd love." Fans have been clamouring for a female-led superhero movie for years now, and hopefully we'll be getting some in the near future - Gal Gadot joining Batman v Superman and Justice League as Wonder Woman suggests she will get a solo film eventually, and demand for a woman to take the lead of a Marvel picture is at an all time high. Chastain certainly seems passionate about it! If she does become a superhero, who would you like to see her portray?
