The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

This film, looks like it is really starting to come together. Loved the " I'm going to through you out the window" scene. Good stuff.

Perfect blend between realism but not forgetting its roots. Lizard doesnt look out of place and theres alot of practical effects that keep the film grounded.

MrSuperheromoviefan - 5/28/2012, 4:01 AM
I don't like Garfield as Spiderman, the humor and i [frick]ing hate the webshoters, so lame
the rest are good
Ortonito - 5/28/2012, 4:11 AM
Looks rad!
NeoBaggins - 5/28/2012, 4:27 AM
Nothing mind-blowing here but I'm definitely giving the new 3D a go with all those freakin colors.

Let's see, what do I like? I like his his speed and those comicbook poses during his swinging. Pretty much anything I haven't seen him do physically in live-action yet. I like how it appears that his Spider-sense plays out as precognition- physically and on the spot. He moves out of the way without looking when the Lizard man takes swipes at him. And he dodges bullets.

Anything good besides that will have to surprise me in the theater.
marvel72 - 5/28/2012, 4:29 AM
that was amazing,f*ck me i can't for this.

Cool, wonder if she will say she has whiplash after he webs her during the fall.
HarveyDent88 - 5/28/2012, 4:46 AM
Probs wait for dvd till I see this.
HarveyDent88 - 5/28/2012, 4:57 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan Yeah cus I'm sure the 3d will look great.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/28/2012, 4:57 AM
@HarveyDent88: But a DVD costs more than a cinema ticket. You might as well pay the lower fee for the cinema ticket and watch it how it is meant to be viewed.

Surely that is the logical option ?
HarveyDent88 - 5/28/2012, 4:59 AM
@Ashes2Phoenix Rent it.
Ashes2Phoenix - 5/28/2012, 5:01 AM
@HarveyDent88:Lol, Fair enough but I feel you will be missing out.
0ptimusCrime - 5/28/2012, 5:09 AM
Funny thing,

Haters are stil taking time to watch footage of a movie they "hate",
i bet there the first in line to watch it.
ninjacarm - 5/28/2012, 5:28 AM
I'm not liking Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. I wanted a more up beat Peter Parker like the 90s animated series. That's how I always saw Peter Parker. Just not feeling it right now.
Spidey31 - 5/28/2012, 6:17 AM
Anyone else think the " I'm gonna throw you out the window" and catch with the webbing scene is foreshadowing the death of Gwen? The bridge scene from the preview also seems to foreshadow a bit because Peter almost fails to catch the kid. Other than that I can't [frick]ing wait for this movie
Spidey31 - 5/28/2012, 6:20 AM
@banekill it's called an opinion look it up. Same for you hipster
SpeedyX10 - 5/28/2012, 6:37 AM
@JunyaWeenieSnatch8008 he's SPIDER-MAN!!!! Super-human strength!!!!! Now you get it?
TheMaster2011 - 5/28/2012, 6:56 AM
@HarveyDent88 Yes, the amazing 3D. This movie was shot with the greatest camera ever invented, Look it up, RED EPIC. But it's cool because we all know you are going to watch it in theatres anyway.
PeterParker1991 - 5/28/2012, 7:02 AM
"I'm gonna throw you out a window now." LOL
MrSuperheromoviefan - 5/28/2012, 7:11 AM
@TheAmazingHipsterMan - I don't call myself comicbook fan, I'm a superheromoviefan as my name sugest.

How came that everyone who supports webshooters saying that we like it caming from the ass. Are you brain dead or something? Raimi's Spiderman didn't have webshooters, but organic web caming from his wrist. That's what we want.
CaptainObvious - 5/28/2012, 7:27 AM
"Much better than the Raimi suit by far. That looked tacky and pink at times, this is badass."
thetrojan - 5/28/2012, 7:28 AM
wow!
looks amazing! no pun intended
AutobotCommander84 - 5/28/2012, 8:30 AM
@MrSuperheromoviefan Who the [frick] do you mean by "we"?
Boyle360 - 5/28/2012, 8:54 AM
@MrSuperheromoviefan
What the christ are you talking about? Organic web is dumb, it doesn't make sense. How on earth is Spider-Man supposed to produce that much web inside his own body, where the hell is it made, where the hell is it stored, where is it transported and where does it come out?! It made NO sense at all. Spidey has always originally had web shooters. They're better because they make sense.

Superhero movies don't HAVE to be realistic, but they do have to be believable. Web shooters are believable, shooting web that came from nowhere out of your wrist isn't. Real Spider-Man fans like the shooters.
PeterParkersWeb - 5/28/2012, 9:10 AM
@Boyle360
Stop saying real Spidey fans are like this or that, because this is just dumb.
@TheAmazingHipsterMan
Man... your are just as annoying as Jar Jar Binks. Every time there is new article about TASM you are the first to comment and of course your comment is like
- "Oh yeah everything here is soooo cool. Can't you see that haters. STFU all of you blah blah. This movie is much better than Raimi's and shut up because snoutless lizard is better, bacause I say so and if you disagree then your are not true Spider-Man fan and look I'm a hipster"
One comment - just like John Cleese said:
MCUFan1 - 5/28/2012, 9:10 AM
@banekill77 you hate the new suit why i mean aleast the webs and spider is in the suit instead of being on the material i think its looks just how the comic one did except its been tweeked
DEVINADAMS300 - 5/28/2012, 9:31 AM
Is it just me or does the physics for the first web swing shot look.....off? It's like he's going backwards when he shouldn't be. I dunno.

Can't wait for this movie :)
thewolfx - 5/28/2012, 9:44 AM
"Much better than the Raimi suit by far. That looked tacky and pink at times, this is badass.

It (the suit) close to the comics as well, the black webbing, the black outline of the eyed and the web shooters. The Raimi suit is just childish to me, it has silver webbing and eyes which is terrible."

that has gotto be one of the most retarded things iv seen sofar on this site

you just this basketball leg striped piss lensed new balanced sneaker costume is more close to the comics then raimis suit ?

i make you look dumb everytime you post now im just gettin bored .. dude seriously your fanboyism for this movie is comical

i love spiderman id never wanan see him fail but if you cant see past the shit design in this movie thats fine with me ..must be fun living in lala land .

oh and the part when throws gwen out the window was cool

the part with the football was lame .
thewolfx - 5/28/2012, 9:48 AM
@Boyle360

must be alot of idiots runing around today

you just said real spiderman fans only like webshooters?

really , thats funny seeing as spiderman can produced his own webs now in the comics

you would believe a near poor kid could produce such an invention and keep buying materials for it ..yet never try to seel it or make profit?

over a biological mutation

dumb ,dumb ,dumb
prettynuclear2 - 5/28/2012, 10:25 AM
The Raimi suit looked like a ballerina leotard.
MrSuperheromoviefan - 5/28/2012, 10:39 AM
@AutobotCommander84 - the people with good taste.

@Boyle360 - As you said superheromovies don't need to be realistic. Organic web is awesome and that's what matters. Webshooters are lame
BlackDynamite - 5/28/2012, 10:54 AM
I like comic book movie chat better then sport chat
PeterParker1991 - 5/28/2012, 10:56 AM
@dgabbor: Peter Parker is a scientist, hence Marc Webb or whomever decided to have him attend a SCIENCE high school. If you don't get that then maybe you shouldn't be complaining about other people's comments until you understand who Peter is.
Bread - 5/28/2012, 11:08 AM
that was A LOT of new footage!
SpideyQuad - 5/28/2012, 11:30 AM
@JunyaWeenieSnatch8008 How does a piece of straw go through a tree?
