Green Lantern opened up to mostly negative reviews and a disappointing performance at the box office. At this point, it's likely that the only thing which will ensure a sequel is if Warner Bros. can claw back some of the movies budget from DVD and Blu-Ray sales. Green Lantern was the only superhero movie released this year (excluding The Green Hornet) that I only saw once, and while I can't pretend that I liked the movie all that much, I'll definitely buy it when it's released here a few days after the US. Why? Well, the promise of an extended cut is very appealing, while I can't deny that there are actually a handful of moments I'm looking forward to reliving in glorious high-definition. But what about you guys? Will you fork out the cash for Green Lantern on DVD or Blu-Ray? Well, here's your chance to vote...

Green Lantern is set to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the US on October 14th and in the UK on October 17th.

Josh, you should have a choice that says, "Yes, but only to see if the extended cut is better than the theatrical."

Wow. Abin Sur is really uber purple. Yeah, I'll check it out. It's probably promising more than it'll deliver, but I'm pretty sure more is better.

Yea I'm definitly getting this. And also Cap when it comes out.

the movie really wasent that bad, definitlly had its problems but far from the worst cbm ever which most people claim.

I enjoyed it, not that great but not that bad either.

And the actual movie aside I LOVE GL so seeing him on screen using his powers and all that is really cool and something I defifnitly wanna see again and again.

Oh yea and Im curious about he extended cut although Im not expecting anything that much different.

Gotta do it. It's my charitable donation for the year. Was it bad? Yup. Do I want more DC movies in the future? Yup. So, here's my $25 WB. Your welcome.

I hope NO ONE BUY IT. That way it really bombs and opens up these stupid producer’s and director’s eyes that they can't just put a superhero’s name on a movie and FUC* it up by doing their own vision. This movie like so many others deserves to lose these guys money and future credibility when it comes to directing other movies.

I´ll be buying here in Brazil in about six months, when it´s cheaper. Movies arrive here in Brazil are a little bit expensive due to taxes.

Movie wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. IMHO didn't lose much to the "all looks, no substance" Marvel movies.

@GLGeek - You said it, man!

I saw the movie twice just because i promised a couple of different people that i'd go with them. I think most of the complaints of the movie are merely "bandwagonning", the biggest(and truest) are editing, not enough time on Oa and crappy villains... some of which can definitely be fixed with an extended cut.
