I actuqally liked the intro, jet scene (in the air) and Oa, the rest (ie vast majority) was dry, shriveled cat poop on the hardwood floor

People are such a bunch of hypocrites and have no idea how the human brain works. They watch half the movie before it's released from the trailers, leaked footage, set footage and everything else in between. Then when the see the final product, their brain goes....."meh, already seen most of this, I was expecting more" because you have lost all sense of suspense and surprise that comes from seeing a movie for the first time. I watch one trailer for each movie and that's it and I've loved just about all of them that came out in the recent year.

Everyone does it with every comic movie, you guys did it with Ironman2, Green Lantern, Superman and now you are all about to do it again with Avengers. Bunch of retards.

@billnye69

Or it could be that the movie just sucks...'cause it did. Apparently your brain functions on a much simpler level than most people...enjoy the pretty colors! Kudos for using keen and insightful verbage like 'retards' though. Shine on, you crazy diamond.

Anyone else notice that right before Sinestro's hologram appears and disappears his suit turns yellow?

@Thelastdalek

Not snobbish at all; I was responding to someone else's snobbery. You may want to check billny's post, which I was responding to, where he presumptuously characterized people who didn't care for the film as ignorant hypocrites and "retards." THAT is snobbish.

As for the use of the word 'retards,' I agree with you...I was using sarcasm to make the point with billny; but I'm sorry if it came across otherwise.

STILL going to buy this tomorrow but watching this I just realized that this movie doesn't have a lot of likable characters. Besides like Hal's nephew, Hal's Dad, Tomar Re, and Abin Sur who are all barely in the movie. Sinestro is bad ass but he's a complete asshole but in a good way unlike Hal who's a complete asshole in the worst way possible. Then the remaining characters are so boring and generic they're impossible to like. Bits of the movie were fun but they were mostly on Oa and they're BARELY on Oa in this flick. Building the relationship between Hal and Sinestro would have meant more as a story and therefor would have saved this movie. I'd still like a sequel where Sinestro finally turns on the Lanterns resulting in an epic intergalactic battle royal but that's clearly not happening. oh well bring on The Dark Knight Rises and hopefully Warner Bros. doesn't [frick] up Superman with Man of Steel. Woo....hoo.

@Thelastdalek

For me, the story was full of holes, the CGI was uneven, and the dialogue was bad. It's not the worst CBM ever, but it's mediocre at best. For me it's on the same level as FF, Ghost Rider or DD (but WAYYY ahead of Catwoman, lol). But when someone says it's a great film and I'm just to ignorant to understand, then yeah, I'm gonna hit back.
