When cameras were rolling on Thor: Love and Thunder, we caught a first look at the returning Guardians of the Galaxy in some snazzy new costumes. Now, with filmmaker James Gunn hard at work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Mail Online has shared a few shots of Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pom Klementieff) suited up and ready for action.
It looks like Bautista will be able to spend a little less time in the makeup chair for the threequel as Drax is covering his abs with a shirt that appears to be a permanent part of his costume. As for Mantis, we don't see much, but both actors seemed to be making their way to the set to start filming.
Very little has been revealed about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, though we know the team will find a new foe in Adam Warlock. The High Evolutionary is also expected to factor into this story for a movie that sounds like it will close the door on this iteration of the cosmic superhero team.
The movie stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Sylvester Stallone's Stakar, Will Poulter, and Chukwudi Iwuji, while Gunn has suggested that there are other casting additions we don't know about. It's shaping up to be an exciting movie, anyway, and we can't wait to see more of these A-Holes.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to be released in theaters on May 5, 2023.
