Sorry Marvel Faithful, James Gunn Says No THOR In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, VOL. 2

Despite the fact that James Gunn previously stated that no Avengers would be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, the image of Gunn holding Mjölnir was simply too tempting not to speculate that Chris Hemsworth's Thor might be making an appearance in the sequel.  The rumors spread so far across the net that it appears Gunn has needed to make a second declaration that no Avengers are appearing.

But what about another welder of  Mjölnir? No, not Frog Thor, Beta Ray Bill!  With Gunn debunking the rumor of Thor, the Marvel fandom is quickly moving on to speculating on an appearance from the last Korbinite.

It's another unlikely rumor that Gunn will likely deny in a few days but until then, it's fun to speculate.

Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is produced by Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Vol. 2 hits US theaters on May 5, 2017.
