From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which first appeared in comic books in Marvel Super-Heroes, Issue #18 (Jan. 1969), stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Nova Prime and Benicio Del Toro as The Collector.

MercSoul - 7/30/2014, 1:37 PM
@npamusic yes! please send it to me :D thanks!
NovaCorpsFan - 7/30/2014, 1:40 PM
I couldn't believe when I found out Vin was a D&D dork like myself, and you if past statements are correct. Love the guy.
NovaCorpsFan - 7/30/2014, 1:51 PM
Indeed it would. I've played a few kinds of D&D, mostly Pathfinder. I've played Shadowrun, my God do I love that game and despite how long it usually takes for a session to end, I've played a bit of Talisman as well. And many other board/role playing games.
Kyos - 7/30/2014, 1:53 PM

Well, we do get most stuff here in Germany, but there are certain things that are treated a little differently compared to other parts of the world (especially when it comes to violent games - we don't love those (well, acually we do, but they're treated like we shouldn't ^^)).

In the end I guess the German market simply wasn't relevant enough in terms of BO numbers to warrant a Diesel dubbing.
Kyos - 7/30/2014, 2:19 PM

I... honestly don't know about the zoos. And for a while now the heat here's been killing me, so we do get our share of sun (although there ARE tons of sunnier countries).

Hm, what did I play over the years? Let's see...

The Dark Eye (Das Schwarze Auge)
Vampire: The Masquerade
Warhammer Fantasy & 40k

I played a variety of other RPGs, but these are the ones I played most. :)
SnapperCarr - 7/30/2014, 2:25 PM
Did he do mo cap as well? Or did they have someone else do it but incorporate aspects of his face?

New Marvel Studios Blockbuster is Outpacing Franchise Debuts of "Thor" and "Captain America," and Ranks as the Biggest August Pre-Seller in Company History

LOS ANGELES - July 30, 2014 - According to Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, Marvel Studios' sci-fi action epic "Guardians of the Galaxy" is on track to take off this weekend, scoring 94 out of 100 points on the company's Fanticipation movie buzz indicator.

James Gunn's highly anticipated adventure is capturing 93% of this weekend's ticket sales on Fandango, and outselling previous Marvel franchise debuts, "Thor" and "Captain America," at the same point in the sales cycle. The film is poised to be the biggest August pre-seller in Fandango's history, far outpacing advance sales for the previous record-holder, Matt Damon's 2007 "The Bourne Ultimatum," and pacing to be this year's #1 non-sequel pre-seller, beating the previous record-holder, "The LEGO Movie."

DrKinsolving - 7/30/2014, 2:56 PM
Vin is awesome, I give him a lot of respect too, but I have no idea what live-action character he would be good for
Kyos - 7/30/2014, 2:59 PM

I only ever played the pen-and-paper RPGs, never the table-top wargame. You can sink insane amounts of money in that. When I was in school I worked in a game shop for a while. One day this huge chubby guy walks in and asks if the latest shipment of miniatures was in.

My boss tells him yes, most of the stuff is already there. Guy loads his arms with miniatures, pays 400€ and leaves. I was like wtf, but I didn't have an actual meltdown until the guy returned the next day to shop tiny fantasy soldiers for another 250€.
