CLIP: Ed Norton's "Obtuse" Interview

Awhile back we reported on an interview where The Incredible Hulk's Edward Norton described his future with Marvel projects as "opaque." Here is the video of that interview...
You have to get 1 minute and 17 seconds into it, but its interesting to view his demeanor visually as he is asked about revisiting the Hulk and Avengers.

MTV: Is any part of you interested in reprising the Hulk in any form? Are you a betting man? Do you think it's gonna happen?

Norton: You know, I really couldn't say. The minds of Marvel are sometimes opaque. I won't say obtuse, but opaque. I don't have any idea what they want to do. This notion of connecting the Marvel characters — who knows where they'll go.

MTV: "The Avengers" is less of an interest for you?

Norton: I really actually have no information. I don't know what the agenda is in the moment, but I'm sure you'll find out more than me.

Shame. I really liked him as Bruce Banner and The Hulk. I honestly don't know why they won't let him do the hulk again.

Actually, you have to get past his puss-like slap at Donald Rumsfeld (who is a REAL superhero, not a limp-wrist who plays one on film) and go to Clip 4 of 4 for the tiniest snippet of him saying the minds of Marvel are more opaque than obtuse to get the point that, frankly, he doesn't know wat the hell Marvel has in store for his character, or for his participation, in another Bruce Banner/Hulk appearance.

STILL, I would NOT like to see this fellow replaced as Banner. I LOVED his performance in TIH, which is the true test of true acting, not being Norton playing Banner, but Banner being Banner.

Okay, fine, he is your typical whiney tool who can't countenance real murdering terrorist scumbags having panties put on their heads or cigar smoke blown in their faces and not call it "torture", but the guy is a damn fine actor who really brought the real Bruce Banner to the screen. Bana was great, but for me, Norton's portrayal of Bruce Banner will always be the ultimate Banner for me.

I have no reservations whatsoever with seeing Norton reprising his role as David Banner in Marvel movie after Marvel movie. He was just phenomenal, no qualifications required, he was just phenomenal. I loved that movie.
