Doom baby

I give it to vader in the end, but it would be absurdly close. This is a great match, especially if we throw in some storm troopers and doom bots too.
Synthesoid - 11/27/2014, 6:23 AM
Storm-troopers vs Doombots!!!! Excellent idea. A Doombot walkover though
Havensent - 11/27/2014, 6:48 AM
Doom would destroy Vader.
tripttwe - 11/27/2014, 6:49 AM
Fear DOOM!!!!
Aeyan - 11/27/2014, 7:03 AM
I've always felt that this would be one of the ultimate VS battles. A very hard one to call, but my money will always be on Vader. 'Always bet on black!'.
WruceBayne - 11/27/2014, 7:09 AM
Doom all day. Doom can do everything Vader can and more.
Japhath - 11/27/2014, 7:26 AM
Vader is my favorite for many reasons but Doom is awesome. He could match Vader at everything but lightsaber dueling. Gotta give it to Doom because if he can go the distance with the Beyonder, he can go against almost anyone.

I still don't understand how they haven't got Doom right on screen yet. I'm pretty sure George Lucas said that Vader was highly influenced by Dr Doom, and Vader is arguably the most iconic movie villain of all time. The people making the Fantastic Four movies need only look at Star Wars to find a great starting point for a big screen version of Doctor Doom, and I really hope (but also kind of doubt) that Trank and co. have done it this time around.

As for this match-up, I gave the edge to Vader, seeing as I always got the feeling Lucas basically took the best parts of Doom, combined them with the best aspects of many other villains, and then turned it all up to 11. Probably one of the closest hypotheticals posted on this site though. As for Doombots vs Stormtroopers? Doombots all the way, I'm pretty sure Stormtroopers have never actually even hit a target.

Plus they all got killed by a bunch of teddy bears throwing sticks and stones, so clearly a fully weaponized robot would do a hell of a lot of damage.
ManCalledSting - 11/27/2014, 8:29 AM
Really? Doom is a master of the force? I wasn't aware. I can't tell if most of the votes for Doom are from blind marvel loyalists, but Vadar would crush Doom like a pop can.
ManCalledSting - 11/27/2014, 8:53 AM
AC1: Not saying you're wrong, but I never heard Lucas say that. There's articles by fans, speculating this, but I don't recall Lucas saying that.
LifeDayFan - 11/27/2014, 8:59 AM
Vader, hands down. Force windpipe crush, done.
nuclearpriest - 11/27/2014, 9:00 AM
When you can go toe to toe with Dr. Strange as a sorcerer and Reed Richards as a genius intellect, you don't need the [frick]iing force. Dr Doom prevails!
FoxForce5 - 11/27/2014, 9:02 AM
@ManCalledSting : while Doom can't use the force, he can tap into dark magic, giving him equal footing with a force user. Add to that Doom's superior intelligence and Iron Man level suit (Vader's bionics are not nearly as powerful or durable) and the only advantage Vader really has is his hand to hand and lightsaber skills (though those were both better before he lost his limbs to Obi Wan) and the edge goes to Doom (and not by a small margin).

Just to point out, I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan! I've stuck with it through all the highs and lows from the joy of seeing the original in the theater in '77 to the horror of prequel trilogy, the "Holiday Special", the "Droids" animated series and both "Ewok Adventures" and will be there to bring my daughter to "The Force Awakens" but looking at this objectively, there's only one practical winner if you pit Vader against Victor Von Doom.
ManCalledSting - 11/27/2014, 9:35 AM
I'd say the Force would out do marvel magic.
m0th3r - 11/27/2014, 10:02 AM
@FoxForce5 "while Doom can't use the force, he can tap into dark magic, giving him equal footing with a force user. Add to that Doom's superior intelligence and Iron Man level suit" and without his suit Doom is no a whiney bitch throwing temper tantrums..
batman1216 - 11/27/2014, 10:12 AM
You Marvel retards. Vader would destroy Doom.
FoxForce5 - 11/27/2014, 10:24 AM
@m0th3r : "aand without his suit Doom is no a whiney bitch throwing temper tantrums.."

-Agreed! But Vader without his suit is just... well... he's got not arms or legs or functioning respiratory system and can't really even manipulate the force much and let's not even get into what a whiney b!+ch Episodes 2 & 3 Anakin is before he becomes Vader... so, you know, there's that. :-P
