Is JUSTICE LEAGUE Actor Joe Manganiello Teasing A Potential Return As Deathstroke?

Joe Manganiello had a small, but memorable role in Zack Snyder's Justice League, and although the actor recently appeared to put the role of behind him, he might just be teasing his return as Deathstroke.

It looks like Joe Manganiello may not have given up on the prospect of returning as Deathstroke after all.

The True Blood alum made his debut as the ruthless mercenary in the post-credits scene of Justice League when it hit theaters in 2017, and was finally given the chance to reprise the role during the epilogue of the "Snyder Cut." It was only a very brief appearance, but we know there were big plans for the character in the DCEU at one point (he was going to be the main villain of Ben Affleck's version of The Batman), and Manganiello has continued to express his desire to suit-up as the villain again.

Manganiello said he'd "let that go a while ago" when asked about a potential return as Slade Wilson in an interview last year, but the actor's new Instagram post may tell a different story! He could simply be showcasing a cool piece of artwork featuring his character, of course, but this image has led to speculation that he might be teasing Wilson's involvement in a future project.

Warner Bros. appeared to be doing its best to move on from the "Snyderverse" era of the DC Films Universe post ZSJL, but we know that The Flash will fully explore the concept of a DC Multiverse, so the door might well be open for Manganiello to return as Deathstroke.

Pretty sure this is just him updating his profile pic. Understanding well why he chose that one, Slade's mohawk look was always awesome.

That being said, I'd love to see him in the role again, especially if we're now getting a cinematic Dick Grayson.

Eh. I'm ready for the Snyderverse to burn out. I disliked the movies initially, but the fan base made me really hate the movies. He isn't a great actor anyway so yeah. Scrap it

I think he'll be in the next Gunn dc project. Deathstroke was originally going to be in the role of Bloodsport for TSS, and Manganiello is friends with Gunn. Not to mention Gunn is friends with Snyder so it makes sense that Gunn would build off what he established.
