There was a time when Zack Snyder was unofficially tasked with shaping the DC Extended Universe by Warner Bros., though none of us knew it at the time...including him! Man of Steel was the opening chapter, while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice expanded that shared world with the debut of several new superheroes.

Warner Bros., concerned by the critical response to that movie and Suicide Squad, decided to change course and enlist Joss Whedon to take charge of Justice League. Believing the filmmaker behind The Avengers would deliver a guaranteed hit, he instead dropped a bigger bomb than anything that had preceded the 2017 flop in the DCEU.

Snyder finally got to share his epic original vision with the world when Zack Snyder's Justice League was released on HBO Max in 2021. Next month, however, the filmmaker looks set to bid a final farewell to his time in that comic book world with a "Full Circle" event featuring screenings of all three movies.

As you can see below, Snyder has shared an early sneak peek at a special poster for the event that's been illustrated by comic book artist and DC Comics CCO Jim Lee.

Pictured below are Henry Cavill's Superman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg, and Ray Porter's Darkseid. We're sure the rest of the League will be highlighted on the finished product and Lee has long been a supporter of Snyder's, providing artwork for SteelBook editions of Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League.

As much as many fans would love to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, DC Studios is rebooting the franchise as the DCU, and we don't anticipate Snyder getting to realise his vision in the coming years.

However, there's always a chance James Gunn and Peter Safran will bring the director's vision "full circle" by allowing him to end that story in a comic book or animated series.

Check out this poster preview in Snyder's Tweet below.

The irony that Snyder’s most fervent fans are the ones who would benefit the most from mental health awareness. Hopefully they can find help and channel their energy into more productive pursuits.

@Dotanuki - you aren't wrong. But also, everyone could. ❤ this is a good cause. 98% of users won't care.

@Dotanuki - Oh no, "people from a movie franchise I don't like defend movies they like..."

I have never kept it a secret that I loved Zach Snyder's DCEU. MoS is my all time favorite CBM. But seriously, you all on this website constantly shit on the DC movies and can't handle the slightest critique of the MCU. I personally like the darker tone of the movies, not everything in a movie has to be constant jokes of every situation. In all honesty, die hard Marvelites are just as bad as the rabid DCEU fans

@RebelCommander - remain peaceful, my friend. I understand you're irritated, but that's what they want. When we get flustered, they succeed in making anyone who speaks positively look bad.

Stay passive.

This is the way.

@RebelCommander - you should understand that expressing an opinion on a website is fine but when it crosses the line into harassment as the hardcore Snyderbros were involved in, that is problematic. There is a big difference! That is who I was referring to.

@Dotanuki - And yet you are the one that said Snyder fans would benefit from mental health awareness. Who is hating here? It's the same everywhere you are all referring to "toxic Snyder fans" but look in the mirror seriously.

@KyoShiRo330 - Reread what I wrote. I said “fervent” fans. Second, I explained again that I was referring to those fans that use harassment. I’m sorry you didn’t understand what I wrote.

@Dotanuki - Yeah and I'm a big fan of Snyder, or a fervent fan if you want. You are just passive agressive and try to make excuses. Be love, be better.

Jim Lee is a beast.

Unfortunately since they're probably deviating from the Snyderverse as much as possibly from now on... I imagine his art not being used as ref anymore.

@Fogs - I think there's no shot that Jim isn't asked to continue making illustrated covers/promo art

Watch everyone be calm and reasonable about this..... lol

Yeah right. It's a Snyder article. Any positivity will be obliterated in 3...2...1...

Man of Steel is the only epic masterpiece Zack Snyder has given to DC.

Everything else...not so much!

TheVandalore - 3/23/2023, 10:35 AM
@Forthas - I think the holy shit edition of WATCHMEN was his best work to date as a director. I also really enjoyed what became of The Snyder Cut, but I had issues with it like I do almost every Snyder film. I appreciate the direction MoS went in but it's certainly not my definitive Superman. The Snyderverse in general is nowhere near my ideal DC Universe, but I can enjoy his films.

I understand why people don't like his movies. I even understand why people find Zack annoying. I have. He's... an interesting cat. But a lot of creative people are weird.

I have no idea why people [frick]ING HAAAAAAAATE Snyder like it's an addiction. Showing to poop next to anything that says Snyder. It boggles my mind. I don't hate anything that much in entertainment. This I entertainment.

Like, when you can find a way to twist and make charity a bad thing just cuz he made movies and comments that shocked you......... salty freshman mentality.

@Forthas - Keep in mind it was the only movie that he was allowed to make without the studio getting involved with it. Both BVS and JL had the studios fingerprints all over them.
