My thoughts on the best CBM's of the year.

1. The Avengers: This is the best CBM EVER! Joss Whedon did a fantastic job. Every actor performed amazingly. It broke $1.5 Billion. It currently has a score of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, the highest for a CBM. Bring on Phase 2!

2. The Hobbit: I have been anticipating this film since 2003. Peter Jackson did a fantastic job yet again. The 48 fps will be the future of all films. Bring on The Desolation of Smaug!

3. Skyfall: James Bond returned yet again. It was a brilliant film. Good job Sam Mendez. Although not as great as Casino Royale, it certainly made up for Quantum of Solace.

4. TASM: Although I wasn't looking forward to this at first, it certainly surprised me. To me, it is the second greatest Spider-Man movie after Spider-Man 2.

5. Prometheus: This movie had an excellent story and amazing special effects. Nice job Sir Ridley Scott.


Honorable Mentions(in order): Hunger Games, Expendables 2, John Carter, Sinister, Ghost Rider 2, Dark Shadows, TDKR...

what a terrible list, after the excitement has died down about Avengers and you watch it again you realize how it's not actually that good of a movie. That there is actually so much wrong with it. This seems to be a list of "Comic Book Movies that made the most Money"
Prometheus was probably the biggest disappointment of 2012, not to mention The Hobbit, which is failing to meet expectations world wide.
My best movies for 2012 would be;
1 - Dark Knight Rises
2 - Chronicle
3 - Skyfall
4 - Shut Up And Play The Hits
5 - Moonrise Kingdom
with honorable mentions to Argo

1. Off the top of my head, both Iron Man and The Dark Knight have a RT score of 94. The Avengers is not the highest ever. Get your facts straight.
2. How anyone could think Ghost Rider:SOV is better than The Dark Knight Rises is beyond me.
3. IMO, SKYFALL was much better than CR because it kept you gripped to your seat and had excellent homage to 007's back-life

@Avengers12 I noticed anyone who thinks the word "noob" is a valid insult is usually in 7th grade in that case I feel bad about how mad I am at you for saying that Ghost Rider and Batman are on the same level. Also, you saying TASM is better than TDKR is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard and you should have something thrown at you.

No problem with your movies but you lost me at Black Ops 2. Here's a list of the games extremely better than BOP 2;

I haven't found time to watch Hobbit yet, so I can't say for sure about that one. But yeah TDKR not even in top 5? C'mon man... Ghost rider & prometheus wereterrible, just sayin'

1. Les Miserables (Just came back from seeing this. Highly recommend.)

4. Lincoln
5. Chronicle

There are a lot of films that I need to see (Skyfall, Looper, Argo, etc.), so my list is definitely subject to change.

I'm glad that there is reference to video games on here. I don't have a huge amount of time to play and tend to spend most of it on FIFA. I tend to wait until the reviews are out to before getting something. I'm playing dishonoured now and plan on getting Hitman and Far Cry, but may just wait and get Bioshock Infinite instead.

obviously cod is doing something right as they are still out selling all those other titles, bo2 made huge changes, engine and all, mw3 was the only cod that even resembled another cod,and graphically its great, must be your tv. Im playing on a sixty inch plasma and its beautiful. A lot of people hate on cod because its just so huge and played by almost everyone

Also battlefield is a complete different set of objectives, if you like more realistic strategy type team based games than play battlefield. But to me that's not what im looking for, i like the fast paced in your face challenge of cod. Its not for everyone, but don't hate because its not for you.

@soto, they do that's all it is, or if they play for ten minutes and think they will be great at it. There is a lot of skill and thinking involved that it doesn't get credit for

Okay guys, stop being assholes to Avenger12. I understand that his articles are not top-par. However, giving him shit and not constructive feedback is quite rude. Also, anyone saying his opinion is shit can go [frick] themselves. He has an opinion, you have an opinion, and I have an opinion. If you have a problem with his opinion, to [frick]ing bad. He is entitled to it, and if you are going to give him shit, then you will have to go through me to. I am sorry, but this is clearly bullying. Yes Levi, he said your articles are overrated. But he didn't say it in a degenerate mean way. You have nothing nice to say? Don't [frick]ing say it. Sorry, but had to get that outta my system.

And BTW Avenger, cool list, I disagree, but that does not matter. Also, do a little more research before doing an article, you had a few facts wrong. Also, you might wanna add more info in your article, just so that people don't give you more shit. Just add as much as you can.

This entire article was nothing but a pathetic attempt at trolling.

Superman 78, Dark Knight, Iron Man and Spiderman 2 have higher tomatometers, with 3 of them having equal to higher Average ratings. SUperman: 8.0, Spiderman 2: 8.3, Dark Knight: 8.5

Dark Knight Rises also equals the Avengers in this area with 8.0.
