ROBOCOP Set Photos Capture Close-Up Look At The Armor

Robocop continues filming and we now have a new look at the character's armor, gun and cool helmet design with the sleek red visor. Are you in favor of the new suit design or were you hoping for something closer to the classic look?

Thanks to flickr member "ronnieyip" we finally get a glimpse of Robocop's gun. It's not as thin as the original but still with a similar design. Also check out the best look so far at the sleek design of the new helmet.







In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

I think it looks a little better in these pics, although not sure the human hand!! - at least wear a black glove.

Looks a lot better than the previous photos, still not completely on board with the Dark Knight-esque armor but if they can justify it and the movie itself is good that's enough for me

That helmet does look great.The suit looks good too.I think the gun from the original looks better than the new one.I can't wait to see a trailer for this.

Now that looks better!

I think the intention is that the character looks like a human in a armour for the population, not a robot. But that hand must go away, definetely.

does look better just wish the helmet didnt have that back connected piece it would look cooler just a helmet wit back piece attached to it . but visor is cool

^ The only thing I don't like is Robocop's look from the back. His neck and head is weird.

Hell yeah! it looks awesome! and with the pos-production it will look much more better!
Still don't like the right human hand...but maybe it gonna be some propose!
and the photos that @viral bring to us show interesting stuffs...like showing people protesting about robots in society! That's the padilha that i know!

And for those who still think it looks like batman...

so any black suit look like Batman now? so warner should sue mass efect creators..also dead space creators...G.I. JOE...Halo...let's sue Guilermo del toro as well!!and wait...batman use a armor..or kind of...they should sue marvel too! lets so everybody in this shit!

Looks ok to me. I just wish the color would be more metallic. Black is so boring and common.

Anyway im not judging yet. Heard there is gonna be more than one armor model so this might not be the final suit.

Hope they target this movie for adults. Robocop is not kids film. Violence and satire is needed.

Looks awful for a cyborg cop..is he S.W.A.T. member?

Original Robocop is infinitely better looking,this version truely is Dark Knight,Iron Man & hell,it's also freakin' Cyclops with that visor!
Dogshit design..maybe the performance of actor & the action will ease my hate.

I really like the suit.......I really do not like the colors! i hope in post they fix that up..all black is dull, but this does look better and better

Gonna look like a guy in a rubber suit doing the robot. Unlike the first one which looked like a robot trying to do the Human.

Ok that looks pretty cool. Wish some of the crevices in his suit lit up though. Also if it was a shiny silver/blue, the suit would be amazing.

I think in this era of Iron man and the Dark Knight you have to make Robocop look like a functioning robot with exposed wires etc.. It would have paid homage to the old version and helped differentiate the design from IM and DK.

I am still going to give this movie a chance. I am a huge fan of the original film but I still want to see how they do with it in this day and age.
