If this happens and is successful, maybe it gets another Solo movie the green light.

I'd be good with that. There was potential there that might have been realized with a single director's vision and a timetable that wasn't so rushed.

@MyBeard - I would rather have anything but another solo movie

@MrDandy - You are much more likely to get your wish than I am to get mine. I can't abide that kind of cliffhanger though, and I want to see Han become the jaded character he is in the beginning of ANH.

It’s been rumoured for awhile Emilia Clarke will be reprising her role as Qi’ra in a Crimson Dawn show, though I’m not sure I’m actually interested in it.

I liked Solo more than most, so I hope this is true. I also wouldn't mind at all seeing more of Qi'ra

I’m kinda expecting the Cassion Andor series to tackle the downfall of Maul’s empire, since I don’t know what else it could be about aside from the normal rebel stuff. And timeline-wise it could be possible, since the timeline shown at D23 showed that the latter half of Star Wars Rebels (which featured Maul) takes place after the Cassion Andor series

They could easily repurpose the SOLO concept as a MILLENNIUM FALCON series a la FIREFLY, with the focus more on the ensemble of Han, Lando, Qira, and Enfys Nest and co.

I never got through the Solo movie - ended up shutting it off. Which is something I typically don't do.... I love Star Wars, but more Solo stuff is not something I'm interested in.

Someone explain to me how Maul lived again I mean I’ve seen Solo but still not certain how he lived through being chopped in half and the fall.

@whynot - It was explained in Clone Wars. And it was some really stupid shit! He was running around with spider-legs.

@whynot - The dark side of the Force kept him alive, same way it kept Vader alive after losing 3 limbs and being burned to a crisp by lava. Fell into a garbage planet (apparently the fall dropped him into a garbage chute or something) and made some weird spider-legs from junk and ate I guess trash creatures to sustain himself.

@TheDeadman - does sound pretty dumb hopefully they explain it better in movie cannon.

@8thDoctor - I don’t know dude atleast with Vader emperor was there pretty immediately. Also Anikan was stronger with the force
4thMaster
4thMaster - 9/16/2019, 12:56 PM
@whynot - Emperor took long enough for Obi-Wan to haul it back to the ship, place Padme in the medical bay and leave without the Emperor even getting a chance to track him, so he must have taken a while. I will say Maul surviving is absurd, at least Anakin was put into a medical pod upon being found, while Maul just survived without any outside intervention the long trip to another planet and then in an unsanitary trash heap for years.

The more Star Wars stuff that comes out, the more I realize that the main reason I liked Star Wars is the legacy characters and the actors who played them. There are some exceptions, but for the most part. . . .

I actually pitched an idea when SOLO came out for a trilogy of films. Withe the first being SOLO, the second being about QU'RA and the 3rd being OBI WAN. With the link being the Darth Maul's villains group.

A series focusing on Crimson Dawn, maybe even tying into or spinning out of Obi-wan series could be neat. There's certainly a lot to explore there.

Solo itself? Yeah, probably the most forgettable Star Wars movie. Not the worst by a long shot, just super forgettable and unnecessary; even the SW movies that were far worse were more memorable (because of how bad they were). For the most part, Solo is a movie that... just happened, that just exists.

If it turns out to be true they would have probably have to bring back Donald Glover for the Han and Lando banter. I wouldn't mind to see more of Enfys Nest though.
