President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, recently told The Hollywood Reporter that George Lucas has, in fact, seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kennedy went on to say that ”he really liked it”. Furthermore, she also confirms that Lucas will attend the premieres in both Los Angeles and London.

This might come as a surprise for some as George Lucas recently expressed dissatisfaction with Disney having rejected the treatments he wrote for the new trilogy of movies. He even expressed that he feels 'divorced' from his franchise. Apparently, he was not so disgruntled that he couldn't enjoy the movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015.

Because it's not new, they're just re-releasing the comic-con trailer in theatres.

Lucas may have created Star Wars, but it was his collaboration with other people that made the OT as amazing as it was. The prequels showed us Lucas when left to his own devices. It wasn't pretty.
