More SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Set Photos Reveal A Surprising Tie To The AMAZING Franchise

Another batch of Spider-Man: Homecoming set photos have surfaced this evening, this time featuring Peter Parker in a costume which is sure to bring back memories of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man.

In the comic books, Peter Parker went to Midtown High School. The Amazing Spider-Man franchise for some reason changed that to Midtown Science High School, and now Marvel Studios and Sony are following a similar route for Spider-Man: Homecoming. As you can see below, Tom Holland is sporting a jumper which reveals that the wall crawler now goes to Midtown School of Science & Technology.

However, with a greater focus being put on Peter's high school years, could there be more to this than just a name. Captain America: Civil War established the fact that the young hero is gifted, so perhaps this school caters specifically to those with a knack for science and technology? With shooting taking place, Marvel is no doubt going to announce the cast any day now, so we'll hopefully learn more soon.
