@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - And yet they were able to bring back Judy Dench as M when they rebooted James Bond, even though she played M in the last series of movies too, its such a small role and he's so iconic in the part they could bring him back, and it would be perfect.

The role of J. Jonah Jameson lives and dies with J.K Simmons. Nothing more, nothing less.

He was born for the role. Who cares if it makes sense or not.

If one thing's for sure, it's that Marvel knows how to have fun with their roles and characters.

JK Simmons is easily one of the top 10 cbm castings ever. He's up there with RDJ, Patrick Stewart, Ian Mckellen, and Heath Ledger.

Unfortunately, I don't see Marvel bring J.K Simmons back since they never bring anyone from previously established franchises back. But I do hope that Marvel and Kevin Feige make an exception and bring Simmons back..

I don't want him back. He did a great job I know but I don't want this franchise to have anything to do with Raimi. Huge Laurie would be a great choice.

The GA will probably get confused, probably asking if Raimi's trilogy is still canon. Shit, many of them think Batman is a Marvel character... So as much as I'd want it to, I don't see Marvel getting anyone from the two prior Spider-man franchises reprising a role.

JK is too awesome of an actor not to play the JJJ character again, why not have him at the Bugle again? Been saying for years JK Simmons needs to come back as JJJ, no other actor could come close to his performance from the Raimi series.

Like ppl have said Judi Dench played M again in a rebooted 007. Joe public wont get confused, they'll just be happy JK is back playing that character again! And its no more confusing than the FOX series of X-Movies, the Hulk movies connected or not, etc etc...

No ones gonna care, they will love it, bring JK back as JJJ!
