This movie will own.

@Vigor - Everyone's mom because Jared Leto is hot and women see superhero action films for the hot leads. Nerds and comic book fans are going to see this regardless. I'm expecting a box office similar to Venom. Once the average movie-goer sees the Marvel logo the pre-orders are going to be off the charts.

@mastakilla39 - I don't think you're wrong. I'm still shocked by Venom's success, but I shouldn't be. He looked like Venom, people LOVE Venom from the cartoon/comics, and you're right... it has that marvel logo. Only nerds like us, know the difference between Sony's Marvel and Disney's Marvel.

Morbius might just be alright. But like Venom, I'm not going to see this in theatres. That's just me though

@MrCamw1 - Maybe if Disney didn't buy Fox, fire all their employees, and cut their marketing budget in half it wouldn't have.

@mastakilla39 - that has nothing to do with your original argument. Yiu said slap the Marvel logo on it and pre orders would be off the charts. I merely pointed out that logic was slapped on Darl Phoenix and it didn't nothing.

@MrCamw1 - Well your original argument of Dark Phoenix was wrong too. You assume that Dark Phoenix and Morbius are in the same situation despite the Marvel logo. They aren't.

@ElJefe - I have never seen this photo. I spotted an X-Men 159 at the bottom of the center bookshelf, cover month July 1982, so figure April-May 1982.

Thia film is going to be released in July? Cool, but the only competition is Free Guy,Jungle Cruise,Ghostbusters and Tenet.

I wish I could get excited about this. I read Morbius when he first hit the newsstands and loved him in all his early iterations. I doubt that they capture either the original pathos of the character or ever give us the full costume, which for me is important. Will he take the experimental serum himself in an attempt to cure himself? Will he be the arrogant genius brought low through hubris? Will he be sucking the blood of rats and other vermin to avoid killing humans? Will he be a vigilante? Since he began as an anti-hero and foil of Spidey will there be some classic villain?

I smell a shitshow.
