I think season 2 is gonna be allot better, as it should be, season 1 wasn't too bad, let's remember it's SUPERGIRL and it was CBS..

@Stingzz The problem CBS had with Supergirl was the licenses fee that they had pay to WB/DC. If it wasn't for that they might have given it a second season. The CW already has a deal with the WB/DC so it was easy to move it over there.

@Stingzz That is not really not necessarily true. There are so many shows that had a long life on TV but their first season had low ratings. NCIS is one that comes to mind right away. AoS is another. Over all the rating have not been stellar but ABC keeps it going.

Just because a networks doesn't renew a series doesn't automatically mean it is about ratings. Most of the time most likely yes but not always.

@SWelch - Yeah, but Marvel has the money to spend and can afford it.
DC doesn't have that luxury. They can afford to experiment, but if something isn't either cheap or a success they are far more limited on options.

And AoS serves as a weekly commercial for Marvel, which is all they really need it for. It keeps the MCU going year round as part of a zeitgeist even when a movie isn't in theaters. In that case anything better than a C+ is a win, especially when ABC is owned by Disney so there are no fees.
