Fans of the hit Netflix series Wednesday have been waiting months to hear if the show was going to be coming back for a second season well last night we finally got an answer. As the streamer announced via a video posted to their social media accounts that the show would indeed be returning for a second of episodes along with the announcement of a second we also some statements be series creators and show runners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville and Into The Badlands) and series and Scream star Jenna Ortega.

With Gough and Miller saying “We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore, We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.” and star Jenna Ortega adding "“[Wednesday] sticks to her guns, and she’s not out to please anybody Which, as someone who used to be an immense people please, I really respect.

It's safe to say that this show has been a phenomenal hit for Netflix with the show being ranked as it's 's second most popular English language TV show of 2022. Plus with Wednesday's dance seen in the shows fourth episode having become a viral hit on websites such as TikTok it was only a matter of time before this was given the green light to make a second season of wonderfully kooky stories.

Even just a few short days ago it was rumored that if a second season was to indeed happen it would mean the series moving over to Amazon Prime. Since Amazon own MGM who owns the rights to the The Addams Family franchise however it was soon discovered that the deal to make the Wednesday TV show was closed out and done with well before MGM was sold to Amazon as such this show can only exist on Netflix which i'm sure is bound to please alot of the fans of the kooky and rather spooky family.

For obvious reasons we don't know when the second season will hit Netflix but if the last season is anything to go by then it;s safe to assume that the show won't be hitting Netflix until 2024 at the earliest. This means we have a full year to make theories about what possible storylines our dear Wednesday will find herself into and here's hoping the the second season does indeed include more of the The Addams Family which is something which is something that the creators of the show indicated in a 2022 interview with deadline would indeed be the case.

The plot of the show read Wednesday Addams, a high-school student, finds her brother Pugsley tied up in a locker. She sees a psychic vision of his bullies whom she attempts to kill, resulting in her expulsion. Her parents, Morticia and Gomez, decide to enroll her in Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts in Jericho, Vermont.

I’ve heard lots of good things about the show, so I’ll check it out.

That weird goth Dance scene that became a meme, is pretty cringe though

@GetsugaTensho22 - It's like Tim Burton doing Quentin Tarantino and somehow managing to be even more Tim Burton than ever.

There's a lot to fix, but the foundation is strong here. Just need to build on it now.

The writing needs to decide if the Addams mostly just talk funny or they're actually a wacky family of lunatics & murderers. Also someone has to actually explain what makes someone an outsider, please.

I was totally into it! I LOVED the macabre humor. "If you hear me screaming bloody murder, I'm probably enjoying myself". The ending needed a better landing, but I'm totally down for another season as long as it stays in par with this one. The cast was great! The THING was actually my favorite part of the show. The only miscast I think that occured was actually Gomez. And trust me, had nothing to do with Luis Guzman - I think he is a great actor. He just seemed, IDK, uncomfortable in every scene. Anyway, I'm excited for another season!
