X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Release Date: May 1, 2009

Cast: Hugh Jackman,

Summary: May is officially awesome month for Marvel movies. From "X2" in '03 and "Spider-Man 3" in '07 to 2008's "Iron Man," there's no doubt that Marvel and May make a solid team. And now we can chalk another surefire success to the list when "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" slashes its way into theaters May 1, 2009!

Reprising his role as Wolverine from the "X-Men" movies, Hugh Jackman stars in the blockbuster which, according to VARIETY, could feature a young William Stryker, Sabretooth, Weapon X and a bevy of other mutants—both returning and new characters.

Additional cast members haven't been announced yet, but joining Jackman are director Gavin Hood ("Tsotsi") and writer David Benioff ("The Kite Runner"). With filming tentatively scheduled to begin by the end of 2007, look for more "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" news and announcements here on Marvel.com.

He actually is best in what he does... even if what he does is not that good.

How is the storyline with Sabertooth going to work if Wolverine didn't even know Sabertooth in the first X-Men? They should put Alpha Flight in the movie.
punkxrus - 10/18/2008, 5:15 PM
Wolverine has no recollection of the events of his origin. Just like he did not know who Stryker was.
TheBatman - 11/3/2008, 8:29 PM
I don't think Wolverine realized either Sabertooth was a friend of his....I mean he changed completely after what Stryker did to them both!

sorry but spider-man 3 still ruled, and I still feel those films are the only amazingly good superhero flicks other than the new Batmans. as if something so trivial as "I/we"would make you forget about the state of comic movies 15yrs ago. Comix-fan my ass. I dont get why ppl hated SM3 but are ready to love watchmen, its like they're trying to look smart or something.

and since when was gambit clean-shaven anyways???

SUB @ I liked SPIDEY 3 dude!!! Could,ve done more with VENOM, it was more a SANDMAN movie,, but the movie had some deep points to it, that i really liked!!! Hopefully we'll get a R-RATED VENOM movie sometime soon!!! Oh an by the way, WATCHMEN = movie of the year & COMICBOOK movie of the decade!!!! ; )
LEEE777 - 3/5/2009, 1:40 PM
Oh yeah, forgot! Talking MULTIPLE MUTANTS!!! Whats happening to MULTIPLE MAN??? The X-FACTOR Live Action series that we heard about a couple of years ago,, also MOON KNIGHT???? WATCHMEN!!! :thumbs!!! ; )
LEEE777 - 3/5/2009, 1:44 PM
Well when sabertooth took wolverines tags, he did make a face as if he remembered him, also wolverine remembers everything after he got his metal claws, so does that mean sabertooth wont be in it after he gets them, because wouldnt that mean he would remember him, and know him in the 1st x-man movie? Yet you see him in the pics with his metal claws fighting saber, so what does he get his memory wiped again?
Yohon Kalic - 3/9/2009, 11:16 PM
Hmm, I wonder... with Sinister's prowess for genetics, and having copied other's mutant powers into his body already could Sinister actually be Weapon XI? I mean, if Christian Clark is Sinister, this would clear up all the Deadpool/Weapon XI shenanigans (which, when you think about it, is an awesome cover story for Sinister's involvement).
greychild - 3/13/2009, 2:39 PM
Yohon: no after getting his claws he loses his memory a few more times. If I'm correct in saying this, after he finishes his combat training in Japan, he loses his memory a second time.

I hate every single person that watched this film illegally, and I hate that you still claim to be comic book, or comic book movie fans. Stop breaking the law, stop complaining about the unfinished version you watched, just shut up and wait patiently for may 1st like the true fans.

The movie looks totally awesome!! I can't wait for it to come out (figure of speech, I'm not gonna watch it illegally cuz that is dumb)!! Alot of people are saying that they're only making Wolverine for the money and that it's going to be dumb! I can't wait to prove them wrong! Hugh Jackman is a smart guy! He wouldn't star in a movie AND produce it if it was just a cash cow! Gah! I'm soo excited!!
joNathanPetrelli - 4/3/2009, 8:24 AM
You'll be disappointed!
