Hugh Jackman Teases Wolverine's Role In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Hugh Jackman Teases Wolverine's Role In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Hugh Jackman Teases Wolverine's Role In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Fox has three huge X-Men films on the way, with the biggest of the three being X-Men: Apocalypse. Over the past few days, we've heard Hugh Jackman's thoughts on Deadpool and The Avengers, but now come hear what he has to say about Fox's biggest X-Men film to date.

Even though Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman has been out promoting his upcoming release Chappie, we've gotten a few noteworthy tidbits from him about the X-Men franchise. Here's a bit of a refresher in case you've somehow missed these pieces:

Hugh Jackman's Open To A WOLVERINE Cameo In DEADPOOL
Hugh Jackman Optimistic That An X-MEN/AVENGERS Crossover Will Happen Someday

Back to the main story, a new video interview has just surfaced, courtesy of the good people at Collider, featuring Jackman being a bit dodgy when asked a question about his workload in Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse. As far as official confirmations go, it's still a bit of a mystery as to whether or not we'll actually see Jackman reprise his role in the upcoming Bryan Singer film, and while he admits to not having read a script yet, if his mannerisms are anything to go by, it does seem likely we'll once again see him suit up as the Wolverine in the highly anticipated X-Men sequel. If he does appear in the film, it would mark the eighth time Hugh's put on the claws, possibly ninth if the Deadpool cameo happens. If neither of the above happens, we'll have to wait and see Jackman return to the role in 2017's Wolverine 3.

Skip ahead to the 2:42 mark to check out his comments in the video below:

X-Men: Apocalypse will feature:
Director: Bryan Singer
Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine
James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/Professor X
Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme/Mystique
Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast
Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver
Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse
Channing Tatum as Remy LaBeau/Gambit
Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers/Cyclops
Sophie Turner as Jean Grey/Phoenix
Alexandra Shipp as Ororo Munroe/Storm
Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
Ben Hardy in an undisclosed role

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016

Im amazed at all the butt hurt X- Men fans....as a MOVIE fan, I love these movies. I dont read Marvel. So I can unbiasedly enjoy the marvel films without complaining about source material. The last one made big money and killed with reviews....not much room to talk shit.

IMO DOFP was last year's best CBM, with TWS following.
Funny thing is, they were both huge surprises.
And now i can't wait for Apocalypse and Charles,Erik and Logan leading the young generation.
SHIT'S GONNA BE EPIC!!!

Only on the first page and people are already throwing sh*t. I guess that AOU sneak peek got people hyped. lol

Anyway, I'm mainly interested in seeing Hugh become a possible Horseman of Apocalypse. I think the Horsemen will be:

-Wolverine
-Archangel
-Juggernaut
-Gambit

Let's see how it all plays out.

Yet again Wolverine will be the focus while Prof. X and Magneto bitch over who wants to have there way with Mystique and the rest of the cast gets the shit kicked out of them by Toad. Lame.

Bryan Singer is a pedophile.

@TheRationalNerd

Totally, I agree....

Wolverine should definitely become a horseman and switch sides and fight against the X-Men, it would be something new for Wolverine and Jackman, which the character desperately needs in the X-Men films, imo....

Agreed on so many levels man, they said the film is going to be a disaster film so I expect to see some Horsemen with elemental powers and etc, but seeing Wolverine going against the X-Men/Society would be something pretty challenging and entirely new, could add more to all the messed up things Logan has done in the past.

Nothing against X-men but do people really think X-men DOFP was that good the story was quite mediocre the whole transfering a persons mind back into the past seems too farfetched with a persons who actual powers is phasing, once again the movie concentrated more on a Villain then the X-men, and sorry they sentinels at the end were useless. But hey everyone has different taste

@shadearts

The story itself was at least decent however there were several factors that fans and non fans of the franchise were pretty upset about. The lack of more futuristic scenes/action, the failing to show specific characters like master mole and even more mutant on mutant action within the past. While I didn't necessarily see Magneto as the villain but rather the extremist (as a fellow user pointed out to me) it seems like many people would've prefered more sentinel on mutant action. But due to the fact that a mass majority of the X-Men related characters weren't born yet I don't think that there were that many mutants they could've worked with unless they wanted to go with mutants like Thunderbird and Sunfire. Other than that I think they took a neat approach to the time travel genre while trying to be different and also revive the franchise so that they could have a fresh start.

"the whole transfering a persons mind back into the past seems too farfetched with a persons who actual powers is phasing"

It was the same concept done within the comic book story arc, however it was done with different characters serving the same purpose. If you would've preferred a character like Bishop (physically) traveling back in time then I can see where you're coming from but I'm just making sure Hu didn't think this was a concept they pulled right out of a hat. lol

^^^Not sure what you mean about Gosling but I agree. Not very comic accurate but I can appreciate what Jackman does with what he's given.

I'll be honest, this isn't news I want to hear. Why you may ask, I don't want Wolverine looking at Jean Grey as a lover, when she's just a kid. Plus if he's in it there really won't be anyone other then him shown. In a weird way that's a compliment to how great of an actor he is, but at the same time I want to see other characters get a chance to shine.
