I say wait a little while longer before you reboot it again. Some reboots can work. TASM looks really good, and maybe they do a good job on DD the next time around.

NICE! Guy Pierce was my choice for Daredevil back in the day. I think for a remake...Armie Hammer maybe. Or Liam Hemsworth.

^ Better then actual Movie....

But I still Say use "The Man Without Fear" Story by Frank Miller as the first Movie. Include his training with Stick & the whole Gang part, was straight from the ^ the story. I would make him younger, like 12-13 during that portion, so that he's 14-17 throughout training with Stick & almost 18 after his father is killed.

Theres some good visuals in their that could be very interesting, i will say even though this isnt a screenplay, most of the dialogue in this treatment was quite poor, very cliche and unintelligent.

Brilliant Ramon! An origin of Hero and villain. Make the franchise a tale of there conflict. The second one could be King Pin and DD truly crossing paths. Have the Hand get involved and even have a partial team up between them while to try and get rid of a greater threat, with Bullseye being a Hired assassin out for DD. The last movie can be "Born Again" where it all comes to an end. And after 2 movies of never hinting a Shared universe, you present it in the final film.

^ Best CBM Franchise ever!

[frick]in Hollywood. There are very obvious similarities between this and what was done. A lot of the montages were basically the same, and what not, but that's something that wasn't explained in the movie. He's a 12 year old kid in the movie with seemingly no fighting, acrobatic or athletic skills at all, despite his dad being a boxer, and then he gets blind and can all of a sudden do these amazing things and kick ass and whatever. The radioactive waste explains the blindness and heightened senses, but not the sudden increase in skill. This story, him being 16 and already kind of a badass, would have made FAR more sense. Hollywood are [frick]in idiots.

This was great! I liked the costume portion: it sounds like Jack's costume would've been the original DD costume (yellow) and the new one his modern costume. Perfect.
That would all work if it was wrapped up in a half an hour. 2 hour movie maybe? The only problem is that there seemed to be a lot of cuts. Then again, we'll never know cause the damn thing never made it to film. Dammit.

Again, there's no need for a movie about Hellen Keller's brother.

And, yes, I still think I could take DD.

yoss DD, top 2 for me. Cap 1, DD 1, Nightwing 3 I would love a proper movie.

TheCrowTJM, A DD movie should be arguably the best CBM ever! The one that was made, even in the best version, which was the Directors cut, was only okay to maybe good.

j0hnb1aze...I'm a DD fan...but all of that was kind of funny...so...moving on

The problem with a Daredevil movie is that it can be construed (by mainstream audiences) as a copy of Batman and Spider-Man, if not done severely different than those two movies.

JM DeMatteis is the man!
Phlegmbot
Phlegmbot - 4/18/2012, 11:13 PM
I love DeMatteis's comics work. Heck, he saved DD after Chichester destroyed the title, but this? This is awful.

The opening scene of Matt as a young badass -- an interesting idea -- reads more like those old WB cartoons where the little dog is begging the big to play with him ("Hey, Spike! Wanna play, Spike? Wanna chase a cat, Spike?") and it just gets more and more cliche from that point on.

It's not worse than the Mark Steven Johnson movie, but, then again, the only thing worse than that is ANOTHER Mark Steven Johnson movie (seriously, look him up on IMDB - beyond destroying 3 comics characters, his crimes on humanity also include Jack Frost and Big Bully).

And let's not forget that the Daredevil universe is ©copyright 2012 Marvel Entertainment.
