Warner Bros. has announced that the new trailer for Denis Villeneuve's Dune is coming exclusively to IMAX on July 21 and 22. The full-length teaser will debut alongside a new "exclusive look" at the film, which will most likely be an extended clip.

We found out that the sci-fi adaptation had been pushed back from October 1 to October 22 last month. The movie is still set to debut simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max, and we recently got confirmation that it will have its out-of-competition world premiere on Friday, September 3 at the Toronto International Film Festival.

No word on when/if the new trailer will be released online, but we'll be sure to keep you updated. For now, you can check out a few snippets of new footage below - including our first real glimpse of the vile Baron Harkonnen.

For those unfamiliar with the source material, Dune follows the Atreides family as they relocate to the desolate planet of Arrakis to assume control of the production of the most valuable resource in the galaxy, the Spice Melange. Unfortunately, an act of treachery soon makes an outcast of The Duke Atreides' youngest son Paul, and he must accept his destiny as a powerful prophet of the Arrakis natives known as The Fremen.

This will be movie of the year. Hbo Max better take the streaming option away, it'll be Decemeber and they still need to finish the second half! I better see everyone or you in the theater for this, it shall be the greatest sci-fi movie ever.. mark my words! There's nothing better than having an amazing director in charge of a passion project that he's had since being a kid. True perfection. And of course they aren't doing the Imax preview in Cincinnati, clowns!

@bobevanz - Sorry I don’t spend 15 dollars on HBO Max a month just to go spend 30 dollars at the theater. My couch and HBO Max for me.

@BreakTheCode

HBO has always been $15, even without the day one releases.

“ And of course they aren't doing the Imax preview in Cincinnati, clowns!”

We’ve probably been at the same theater before. Just sayin.

@bobevanz - this is the first movie I'm 100% wanting to go to the cinema for. Maybe not one in Cincinnati, but I am going to one

Absolute Chills.

Although sadly, I’m afraid this will go the way of Denis’ other films and not garner the sort of box office total it should.

So much potential, so much riding on its success.

If you can’t tell from the name, I’m rooting for the bit the of a much bigger franchise here. But Idk if part 2 even gets made if this flops.

I just hope we get the other half at a minimum.

Fingers crossed, but not holding my breath.

With the exception of Infinity War and Endgame, not sure I've ever looked forward to a movie this much. It looks absolutely f'ing stunning.

Someday I will run for president, and my entire platform will be abolishing trailers for trailers.
