After beginning pre-production more than 18 months ago, Jurassic World: Dominion finally wrapped this morning at the UK’s Pinewood Studios.

This latest instalment in Universal's block-busting Jurassic franchise was hit particularly hard by the pandemic, and even when shooting was deemed safe to resume earlier this year, protocols required the cast and crew to isolate in a bubble for months after 40,000 coronavirus tests were administered.

“There are a lot of emotions,” director Colin Trevorrow told Deadline. "I’m not sure I can put it into words. It has been remarkable. Our crew and our cast has been so resilient. All producers have worked around the clock to make it the best it can be. It has been inspiring."

Trevorrow also revealed that the movie's finale will feature “Jurassic legacy actors Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and newcomers to the movie such as Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise…and some dinosaurs, of course.”

Guess we know everyone makes it to the end! We're still not sure what kind of role the JP originals will play in this film, but they are expected to make more than just brief cameo appearances after Goldblum's two minutes of screen-time in Fallen Kingdom came in for a lot of backlash.

Check out some new behind-the-scenes photos below.

Jurassic World: Dominion recently vacated its July 11, 2021 spot, and will now stomp into theatres almost a full year later on June 10, 2022.

@KingPatel - Only if it’s better then the last one. It started out ok, but fell apart with the whole haunted house switch at the end.

Can we ditch the kids this time? At least Goldblums gymnastic daughter should be an adult by now. Definitely don’t need those kids from the last one. At all.

@SanFranLand - They've continuously replicated having kids in the movies since the first one, and they really shouldn't have.

@MosquitoFarmer - Not everyone can direct kid actors like Spielberg. From the kids fighting in Jaws, ET, Poltergeist (his hands were all over that film). He somehow mixes the good and the bad to somehow reflect what it’s like growing up with siblings. Always been impressed by that.

A few hopes for the film:

- Sadler, Grant and Malcolm to have large roles and most importantly survive!
- less of Chris Pratt, he has overstayed his welcome in the blockbuster world can't see the guy anymore.
- a coherent story set in the US with Dinos running wild

The first was a fun big, dumb creature feature. The second was so stupid it hurt the brain. I’m excited to watch this franchise continue to circle the drain in the most ludicrous ways possible
