Not long after Ron Howard confirmed to fans that Solo: A Star Wars Story is right on schedule with the edit locked and score done, the director has once again took to social media to share something exciting.

Howard posted on Twitter a photo from Skywalker Ranch where Solo underwent its vfx review with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Lucasfilm's VFX and animation studio.

The photo showcases a shot of a space battle featuring an explosion and a Tie Fighter. It's possible this could be from the scene we saw in the teaser trailer where the Millennium Falcon is being chased by a Star Destroyer and a group of Tie Fighters. Regardless, it's further proof that Solo: A Star Wars Story is on track.

Howard also confirmed yesterday that a second trailer for the movie is on the way.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is due out in theaters on May 25.

@Forthas - That's an optimistic number imo; I think 800 million would be a much more realistic target.

@HeavyMetal4Life - If Rogue One can do it, then Solo (which has a more recognizable lead in the Star Wars saga) should be able to match that. The only thing that might derail it is if Solo is a bad film. It needs to get at least a 70% RT score I think.

@Forthas - I think Solo will have a harder time emulating the success of Rogue One. Solo has had all sorts of behind the scenes troubles, and while Rogue One certainly had issues behind the scenes too, I don't think it was this level. But we shall see!

@HeavyMetal4Life - But do audiences really care about that behind the scenes drama? They care about the final product. If the drama results in a bad film then the reason is that it does not do well is primarily because it is not well received.

@Forthas - Yes, they do. It, along with the final product, can have a big impact on audiences. We've seen this with films like Fant4stic, Justice League, etc.
