Along with the news that Warner Bros. has set up a female-lead remake of Logan's Run with X-Men: Dark Phoenix director, Simon Kinberg and Hunger Games writer, Peter Craig, it was revealed that Kinberg is penning a forthcoming Star Wars film.

Kinberg is, of course, no stranger to the galaxy far, far away having been a major proponent for Star Wars Rebels, its producer, as well as previously being set to produce the Boba Fett anthology film, directed by Josh Trank, whom he worked with on the poorly recieved Fantastic Four reboot. Due to Trank's on-set behaviour, the Boba Fett film was seemingly postponed or outright cancelled.

It remains to be seen whether Kinberg's project is a Boba Fett film, but with his previous attachment to it and the fact that the film has been rumoured to be in development since before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it is a valid theory. However, the movie could be something else entirely.

Maybe a with his Rebels connection it'll be a live-action take on Ahsoka's story, maybe Obi-wan, or an entirely new character altogether?

Would you like to see any of these rumoured Star Wars anthology films?
