There have been quite a few photos and videos from the set of Shazam: Fury of the Gods shared online already, but director David F. Sandberg is clearly prepping to shoot a scene involving the entire Shazam Family, because he's decided to get ahead of the next wave of leaks by sharing an official behind-the-scenes shot of the superheroes in their updated outfits.
From left to right we have Adam Brody as Freddy, Meagan Good as Darla, Ross Butler as Eugene, Zachary Levi as Shazam, Grace Fulton as Mary, and D.J. Cotrona as Pedro.
The adult version of Mary was actually played by Michelle Borth in the first movie, but Sandberg has confirmed that Fulton will now be playing both parts... with slightly different hair and makeup!
The most recent video showed West Side Story star Rachel Zegler filming a scene in a golden superhero outfit, which looks quite similar to the colorful duds sported by the characters above. Zegler is believed to be playing a villain, but some recently leaked details about her character suggest that she might be posing as an ally of Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer) in an attempt to gain their trust.
That's just speculation based on the information available, but at the time she was cast, Zegler was said to have taken on the role of the youngest of three sisters, and we know Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu will play villainous sisters Hespera and Kalypso.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods is set to hit theaters on June 2, 2023.
