Disney+ has yet to fully pull back the curtain on What If?, but excitement is definitely building for Marvel Studios' first animated series. Recently, we've been treated to some plot leaks and even a LEGO set, but more merchandise from the show has now been revealed.
As you can see below, we have a new look at Party Thor (who reportedly causes chaos on Earth with a intergalactic party), Jeffrey Wright's The Watcher, and the T'Challa who becomes Star-Lord after being abducted by Yondu and the Ravagers. Chadwick Boseman did record dialogue for What If?, so this will sadly serve as the late actor's final MCU appearance.
The animation style looks great, and now Loki is about to hit Disney+, we're obviously hoping Marvel Studios decided to share some new footage and official details from What If? in the coming weeks.
A synopsis for the show was shared during last year's Disney Investor Day, revealing: "'What If…?' flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways."
"Coming to Disney+ in summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU," it continues, "featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. The series is directed by Bryan Andrews; Ashley Bradley is head writer."
What If? premieres on Disney+ this August.
