@gmoney0505 - Is that quote maybe out of context. Like if you've got fifteen bucks now, save to watch the movie? Or is it just, if you've got fifteen bucks, save it for Civil War?
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 8:13 AM
@Brainiac13 - so less than Iron Man 3. And DC fans still say it'll beat Avengers ....
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 8:16 AM
@MiopTop - It still might, you never know. I mean Avatar had a lackluster opening but it's the biggest movie ever.
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 8:22 AM
@Yaf - yeah in December with no competition for 5 months. Jungle Book and Civil war will be out between 3 to 5 weeks after BvS
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 8:27 AM
@MiopTop - No it had competition, but all I'm saying is that it could still beat it depending on word of mouth. After all, movies make amazing money in spite of competition all the time.
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 8:29 AM
@Yaf - with great word of mouth. Which this, in all likelyhood, won't get.
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 8:32 AM
@MiopTop - That depends on the mouth now doesn't it?
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 8:40 AM
@Yaf - well word of mouth for MoS wasn't good and apparently those that didn't like that movie won't like this one
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 8:53 AM
@MiopTop - I would say it was just like the reviews, polarizing.
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 8:58 AM
@Yaf - which isn't enough to beat Iron Man 3 if it opens so much lower.
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 9:16 AM
@MiopTop - I don't see why it needs to. As much flak as Iron Man III gets I'd say it deserved its numbers. Depending on the quality of Batman v Superman, it'll earn whatever numbers it deserves.
MiopTop
MiopTop - 3/3/2016, 9:25 AM
@Yaf - If it opens smaller and gets the same word of mouth, how could it gross more ?
Yaf
Yaf - 3/3/2016, 9:34 AM
@MiopTop - Same way Avatar did I'd reckon. I mean that movie had more shit against it than Fant4stic before it was released.

Frank Grillo is saying that if you have 15 bucks, save it until the 24th and buy an IMAX ticket to see Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

"I loved that it took things people didn't like about Man of Steel and jiu-jitsued them into being part of the story. " - Anthony Breznican

@Kr08 - I keep wondering if that was their plan all along.... Or did they adapt to some of the hate MOS received? We may never know.

I'm sure that it's true that he liked it personally if that's what he's tweeting, but yeah... a guy writing an entertainment article on a big film like this is only going to say positive things about it in the article itself. You don't get to write 'exclusive' articles like this if you slag the film that is being promoted. They separate the critics from the entertainment reporters for just this reason.

FanboyIrony - 3/3/2016, 7:27 AM
@MattBellissimo - so when snyder called ant man 'flavour of the week' the response was justified? if people are gonna react like that frank grillo should get the same especially if its a lie which i believe it is
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/3/2016, 7:30 AM
@FanboyIrony - I'm saying who gives a sh*t? People are allowed to have opinions without everyone getting butthurt over them. It's. A. Movie. Why take a personal offence if Frank Grillo doesn't like a movie? I dont care if Snyder thinks Ant Man is flavour of the week. I liked it.
