Batman and Superman are set to collide in Zack Snyder’s sequel, with Cavill commenting:

‘The next instalment, as we all know, is involving another rather important character, and i’m looking very forward to that interaction, because ultimately they’re two sides of the same coin.’

Argo director Affleck is set to take over from Christian Bale as The Caped Crusader, a controversial casting but one Cavill is happy with.

‘How they interact, how they clash and how they ultimately aim towards the same goal is going to be an interesting relationship,’ he added, ‘and I look forward to playing that with Ben especially.’

Could you not have found another photo for Cavill?
Can't wait for this film. It's going to be amazing. I genuinely think Ben looks like Bruce from TAS.
Reni - 12/4/2013, 8:29 AM
I hope Cavill decapitates Batman in the sequel

Brainiac13 - 12/4/2013, 8:34 AM

It's good to see that a role like this hasn't gone to Cavill's head (ie:him demanding more money). He seems to genuinely enjoy playing the part.I truly hope that Ben Kills this and gives everyone the Batman we've wanted for Years!Ive seen
4 Batmans in my time and 3 of them had good qualities but none of them have nailed it in my opinion.Keaton came the closest, but we'll see.

This site will explode when:

- We get Affleck in costume
- First set picks of Superman and Batman together
- First official stills
- Casting of the villain
- Teaser trailer
- First theatrical trailer

Calling it.
ALmight - 12/4/2013, 8:36 AM
I like Cavil, he is very Supermanish and a geek at heart, I think everyone has heard that he was playing WoW when he got the call from Snyder, and he also seems to have an understanding of what Sups and Bats relationship should be, two sides of the same coin is the perfect analogy. I am just not sure how that is going to translate when you have an "older and wiser" Batman mentoring a younger inexperienced Superman. It differs from the "inspire through trust vs fear" conflict that Superman and Batman have traditionally had in the past.

Omarvls - 12/4/2013, 8:38 AM
As much as I thing Age of Ultron will be EPIC I think
Batman v. Superman will be the movie of 2015 This movie will be an EVENT that no one will want to miss
SageMode - 12/4/2013, 8:40 AM
@spideyboy

Yeah, that's predictable. Along with the "Marvel is in trouble now", "AOU ain't got nothing on this" quips like with Man of Steel this year. Lol
JoeMomma29 - 12/4/2013, 8:40 AM
Good job Brainiac!!!!!!

I guess SageMode is feeling threatened by the upcoming DCU in what a year and seven months LOL!
Maestro - 12/4/2013, 8:42 AM
Or one side of the same coin. Lol
JoeMomma29 - 12/4/2013, 8:42 AM
@ Sage

Since the DCU is not a threat why do you even bother to troll on DC Articles?
Maestro - 12/4/2013, 8:42 AM
Excited to see this.
charlie2094 - 12/4/2013, 8:42 AM
Sounds about right!! Can't wait!

Super excited for the film, think Affleck will be a fantastic Batman that really kicks ass under Snyders direction...seeing such two huge, very well known characters clash then team up on screen is going to be a huge event, going to be great!
BatManiac - 12/4/2013, 8:43 AM
Maestro - 12/4/2013, 8:43 AM
Why does Cavil look like he needs to fart in that pic? Lol
richal13 - 12/4/2013, 8:45 AM
I'll come out and stay it...does EVERY MOS 2 story HAVE to be on the front page? Come on. Really? Every one?
SnapperCarr - 12/4/2013, 8:45 AM
Hopefully Goyer and Snyder understand this as well.
Brainiac13 - 12/4/2013, 8:46 AM
@Omarvls

Its going to be like 1978 Superman , 1989 Batman, 2002 Spiderman and 2012 Avengers Event......and yeah....no one will miss it. Nice comment.
SnapperCarr - 12/4/2013, 8:47 AM
Hopefully this movie is less about fighting and more about showing the testament of how two completely different men can become the best of friends.

KalElOdinson - 12/4/2013, 8:47 AM
Ad much as I appreciated the Nolan trilogy I would hope the powers that be won't be so secretive about showing production pictures and giving us a glance of what's to come. I know a lot of people complain and whine about how much pre Avengers footage was shown before the movie but ultimately that helped the Avengers become the 3rd highest grossing movie of all time.
Brainiac13 - 12/4/2013, 8:48 AM
@Joe

Thanks.......keep the funny stuff on this article....love it when U and the gang get together. :)
DudeGuyMan - 12/4/2013, 8:50 AM
We'll see.
MsDarkPhoenix - 12/4/2013, 8:50 AM
@Maestro because he needs to fart in that pic

If you think that BvS will be bigger than AoU, you are underestimating the power of the fangirls. Maybe we are more excited to see Batman and Superman in the same movie, but the fangirls want to see Chris Hemsworth's abs. I hope that both movies will do great, but let's face it, Avengers have a bigger audience.
BaneSmash - 12/4/2013, 8:51 AM
In the immortal words of Grif.......... Sage is Shit.
