Maria Bello of "A History of Violence" will replace Rachel Weisz in the third installment of Universal Pictures' "The Mummy" franchise!
Bello will takeover Weisz' role of Evey O'Connell. Brendan Fraser, Luke Ford, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh are already set to star in the Rob Cohen directed film.
Arnold Vosloo is said NOT to return, as far as this stage of the new film's production goes, for now anyway.
Scripted by "Smallville" creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the film brings the O'Connells and their full-grown son(Luke Ford) to the forbidden tombs of China and the Himalayas, where they battle a shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor(Jet Li)cursed by a wizard(Michelle Yeoh).
