HE-MAN: THE ETERNITY WAR #1

It’s He-Man vs. Skeletor, She-Ra vs. Hordak, Masters vs. Dark Masters – all fighting for control over Castle Grayskull. In the end, winner takes all. Who will become the Master of the Universe? Nothing will be the same after this.”

Dan Abnett can do no wrong.. but it is DC, they almost always screw their creators
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 3:50 PM

NovaCorpsFan - 8/20/2014, 3:53 PM
Dan Abnett? You've got my money!
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 3:53 PM
The art of Pop Mahn is incredible though and Abnett is one of the greats so I will give this book a chance

I will only pretend is not DC haha

Also the Sejic covers are so sick

@NovaCorpsFan

the same here dude

If you have seen the art of Pop Mahn that guy is talented, I would say a mix of Ed McGuiness and Copiel
NovaCorpsFan - 8/20/2014, 4:04 PM
@DaneMendieta
That sounds like some seriously good artistry. Coipel and McGuinness are favourites of mine.
DeusExSponge - 8/20/2014, 4:09 PM
The first picture is awesome! Someone give the artist an award!
Grimfoe - 8/20/2014, 4:12 PM
Dan Abnett can do no wrong? Have you seen the Space Marine movie? It was terrible.
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 4:19 PM
If you mean the 1996 film that was written by Rob Moreland ...

Or what are you refering to @Grimfoe?
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 4:20 PM
@DeusExSponge

that is Stpehan Sejic's art and yes, he does amazing covers.
He did some cobers for Marvel some years ago and was the artist for witchblade

That man's got skills
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 4:22 PM
@NovaCorpsFan

Of mine too man. Not sure what happened with McGuiness after his work on Hulk.

Do you know what else has he done after that?
NovaCorpsFan - 8/20/2014, 4:24 PM
@DaneMendieta.
Not really. Might google it, see what he's been up to.
MrDeadRabbit - 8/20/2014, 4:30 PM
By the way, Marvel Studios adapted in a great way the corps man!

Loved GOTG, going to see it the third time this weekend

See you bro, gotta go

HOLY CRAP!!! Why is Teela leading the snakemen with King Hiss' staff?!? She looks badass though!!
DeusExSponge - 8/20/2014, 4:44 PM
DaneMendieta - Thanks for the info, I just looked up some of his covers and boy are they beautiful! They're up their with Alex Ross' cover art IMO.
pesmerga44 - 8/20/2014, 4:47 PM
@Dedpool

That is what I was wondering why the heck the Snakemen seem to be fighting alongside the Masters.
pistolero82 - 8/20/2014, 4:51 PM

This is what we need as an endgame for a series of movies when it comes time for a real Masters of the Universe movie:

Masters of the Universe - Skeletor is the main villain. He-Man and Skeletor have a handful of their most faithful companions. Have to build up to something after all... Bring in supporting characters and tease the next installment(s) with a conversation between The Sorceress and Zodac ("There's a war on the horizon... blah blah blah...").

Masters of the Universe: (something about Snake Mountain or the Snake Men) - While Skeletor is licking his wounds from the last movie, King Hiss and the Snake Men surface and their story teases Hordak. He-Man will get help from the more primal, nature based warriors (Buzz-Off, Moss Man, the Rock People, etc...). Maybe they're introduced fighting some newly recruited followers of Skeletor. End the movie with Skeletor recieving the teaser that Hordak is coming.

Masters of the Universe: (something about Hordak or The Evil Horde or Etheria) - Introduce She-Ra. Reluctant He-Man/Skeletor team up to stop Hordak. New allies for each side. Everything's fine until the last battle which will be He-Man vs. Hordak vs. Skeletor. Maybe they're shipped off to another dimension or Etheria by Zodac just for the fight. Battle is unresolved which leads to...

Masters of the Universe: The Eternity War

Wait so the snakemen are on the same side as the heroes.. Are they good now?
BigDaddy81 - 8/20/2014, 6:06 PM
Wasn't orko evil in the DC comic?
JackSass - 8/20/2014, 6:06 PM
I'm sure glad they put Moss-Man in that picture above. Now where's Buzz-Off & Jitsu
Maculis - 8/20/2014, 6:28 PM
I'm very excited about this. I wish they'd take that approach in an animated movie
InfiniteMonkey - 8/20/2014, 6:33 PM
Love that art.

Might give this a go.
NeoBaggins - 8/20/2014, 6:49 PM
That art tho.
MericawithanM - 8/20/2014, 6:56 PM
Never read a he-man comic but this cover art is an enticing argument to give it a try.
bropous - 8/20/2014, 8:05 PM
No one will ever be better than Dolph Lundgren as He-Man, Frank Langella as Skeletor, or the lady with the most incredibly haunting eyes in show business as Evil Lynn, Ms. Meg Foster.

0megaDaGod - 8/20/2014, 9:20 PM
I feel like some serious drugs went into that cover
BlackIceJoe - 8/20/2014, 9:24 PM
I know soon we will be getting a DCCU, but I so would love a He-Man movie series. I wonder what Peter Jackson will be doing next? This could be his and WB's next big series.
loki668 - 8/20/2014, 11:16 PM
Sooo..........the winner gets to join G.I. Joe and become somewhat relevant again?
SpiderBat209 - 8/20/2014, 11:45 PM
MASTERS of the UNIVERSE: Game of Thrones Style! (Violence-wise and without explicit sex) That would be AMAZING! :D

Well, maybe a lil bit sex. lol ;D
Grimfoe - 8/21/2014, 5:40 AM
@DaneMendieta:

It was the Ultramarines movie in 2010. So much potential but absolutely terrible writing. From one of the guys that I thought was among the best of the Black Library writers too. Very disappointing.
