Rather predictably, it was Dexter's Michael C. Hall who walked away with a HUGE majority of over 500 more votes than the actor who finished in second place. Who was that? Somewhat surprisingly, it was Star Trek star Chris Pine! Not too far behind him was Tron: Legacy's Garrett Hedlund. After that, there was very little difference between the rest of the contenders with only a few votes separating each of them. Here are the results in full. Thanks for voting!

Michael C. Hall

922 Votes (31.28%)

Chris Pine
406 Votes (13.77%)

Garrett Hedlund
312 Votes (10.58%)

And the rest...

Bradley Cooper
261 Votes (8.85%)

Jason Statham
229 Votes (7.77%)

Patrick Wilson
228 Votes (7.73%)

Other
202 Votes (6.85%)

Ben Affleck
192 Votes (6.51%)

Robert Pattinson
106 Votes (3.60%)

Josh Hartnett
42 Votes (1.42%)

Jude Law
30 Votes (1.02%)

Jamie Bamber
18 Votes (0.61%)

Do you agree with these results? With David Slade yesterday revealing that they're still nowhere near close to casting anyone, it sounds like it'll be a while until we find out! Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

Hmm...Answers may vary. I'm seeing Michael C. Hall but at the same time I think that Chris pine needs to be a superhero. I was pulling for him to be Cap but again they went with the wrong choice....
George88 - 3/21/2011, 12:28 PM
Suprise, Suprise
Wildaniel - 3/21/2011, 12:28 PM
Dexter would be great!!!
homer4858 - 3/21/2011, 12:29 PM
i would kill to see dexter play dare devil. mike hall is terrific, and deserves to play a big role like this.
Illuminatus - 3/21/2011, 12:29 PM
The right contestant won.
fanboy76 - 3/21/2011, 12:30 PM
I still think Sharlto Copley from Ateam and District 9 could be a good DD.
IronicMan - 3/21/2011, 12:31 PM
What about Anthony Michael Hall?
He could recover from his experience with the Joker by wearing red spandex and playing with large rods.
marvel72 - 3/21/2011, 12:32 PM
who we want to see & who actually gets cast are two different things.

tell me once when fox has listened to the fans.
ElBeaster - 3/21/2011, 12:33 PM
FOX:
"Hmmm we know what actors would make the fans happy, so we'll sure as shit steer clear of those. Where's Zack Efron? MUAHAHAHAHA!"
capcyclopsftw - 3/21/2011, 12:37 PM
where's Intruder?
soberchimera - 3/21/2011, 12:37 PM
sgt. doakes just broke the news to MCH
Ceejay - 3/21/2011, 12:41 PM
None of the above, the perfect guy for the part is..

His name is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and you'll be seeing him a lot in the new Game of Thrones TV adaptation playing Jamie Lannister.

But Hollywood being Hollywood always gotta go with a big name so we'll get a star-vehicle instead.
mtx100 - 3/21/2011, 12:43 PM
how bout jensen ackles? he has the look, is a decent actor and can kick ass convincingly. Or how bout Michael pitt? I have a feeling he would own the role
Mysterion - 3/21/2011, 12:47 PM
Josh Hartnett was on the list...really?
fanboy76 - 3/21/2011, 12:53 PM
@Ceejay. that guy looks like younger version of Arron Eckhart. I have always thought if Eckhart were younger he could totally pull DD off.
Sortis - 3/21/2011, 12:53 PM
Michael C Hall is 40...too old waaaay too old!
InfiniteMonkey - 3/21/2011, 12:54 PM
Zachary Quinto should do it. The bloke is cool like that.
luckylu - 3/21/2011, 1:00 PM
i honestly dont think that hall looks anything like murdock. not saying he would be terrible, but personally i would like someone with a little more resemblance.
Watcher - 3/21/2011, 1:05 PM
Yeeeeeaaaahhhh! Micheal C Hall FTW!!

That was my pick from WAY back.
CapFan79 - 3/21/2011, 1:06 PM
yossarian@ I agree. The names that pop up here are ridiculous. They all complain about the movies, but if they had their way these films would all suck more.

The most important thing here is a good script. Second a believable and accurate costumes for heores & villains. Then the actors need to pull it all off. I would be happy with Pine or Hedlund. I think most of you are fooling yourselves on Hall. Wishing wont make it so and getting your hopes up for something that wont happen just makes you bitter.

marvelguy - 3/21/2011, 1:06 PM
Pine would be great! Hall is just getting votes b/c "Dexter"'s popularity. Has he done anything that proves he can act beyond that role?
Ven0m - 3/21/2011, 1:10 PM
Michael Hall is perfect cast choice. Really hope Slade is listening to the fans and at minimum contacts Hall for a audition. Also Hall does look like Murdock what pictures are you looking at...

There is 200 of you twilosers that voted for Robert Pattinson... seriously... get off this website :(
TorturedXGenius - 3/21/2011, 1:20 PM
Hall is too old. plain and simple
ironpool007 - 3/21/2011, 1:28 PM
Here's 2 very different choices. Either Bradley Cooper or Aaron Eckhart.
Exiles - 3/21/2011, 1:32 PM
MCH would be great as Daredvil but realistically no studio wants (whether its fox or marvel studios) to pick a guy in his 40's to re start a possible franchise. So they'll probably go for some one younger like chris pine or hedlund who I honestly wouldn't have a problem with if MCH didn't get the role.
JoshJones - 3/21/2011, 1:39 PM
I voted for the fat kid from Good Burger. WHY ISN'T MY VOTE REPRESENTED UP THERE?
JoshJones - 3/21/2011, 1:40 PM
@Exiles
See: Iron Man
TDK21 - 3/21/2011, 1:41 PM
as much as I love Hall, hes a little too old for the role.
Exiles - 3/21/2011, 1:46 PM
@WadeWinstonWilson I have its a good movie. Yes RDJ was in his 40 or so I believe when he was cast Iron Man, the dude looks relatively young for a 40 year old. so fair play dude, but Fox picking MCH i just don't see that but hopefully I am wrong.
JosePetrelli12 - 3/21/2011, 1:50 PM
Michael C Hall.... FTW!!
TDK21 - 3/21/2011, 1:56 PM
Tony Stark was middle aged to begin with. He always has been an older character(ignore armored adventures) DD on the other hand is not, hes generally been portrayed in his late 20's maybe early 30's
themayer88 - 3/21/2011, 2:04 PM
Michael C. Hall would be a perfect Matt Murdoch/Daredevil

Who the hell actually voted for Robert Pattinson?!?!?
SageMode - 3/21/2011, 2:08 PM
Blah Blah Blah. lol
Spyder3355 - 3/21/2011, 2:14 PM
of the choices, he is def the best. from 6 feet under and dexter to gamer(which was an awful movie, but he did a great job playing the role he was dealt), he can obviously change his style and personality.
yankeemanf - 3/21/2011, 2:15 PM
i like michael c. hall as daredevil like 5-6 years ago but now not so much he is too old soo i think chris pine would be better
dcoctavarium - 3/21/2011, 2:36 PM
Don't be jelly people. MCH is just a pump like that.
113 - 3/21/2011, 2:38 PM
I voted for Michael C. Hall...glad other people saw the same thing i did. He's the perfect Matt Murdock
wolf1 - 3/21/2011, 2:50 PM
I see a guy that just got out off law school, and start off fighting then getting the suit.
wolf1 - 3/21/2011, 2:50 PM
I see a guy that just got out off law school, and start off fighting then getting the suit.
MaddMonkk - 3/21/2011, 3:22 PM
Hall isn't too old to do it if it's done within the next year or so. A lot of actors are older than what they appear to be. I think he's perfect. He plays a forensic officer/serial killer in DEXTER and is able to get out of every jam due to his intelligence. He has that look and we all know it. Perfect casting for Daredevil. Jason Statham is a pretty good chioce for Bullseye if they decide to use him again (i hope not though, not right away.)
I want to see PUNISHER in this story against DD, but it will never happen.
juggerhutch - 3/21/2011, 3:30 PM
Michael C. Hall would be so cool but sorry Ben Affleck should only play someone like juggernuat with the dialog from snake eys from G.I.JOE so we dont have to see him or hear him lol
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/21/2011, 3:36 PM
1. Michael C. Hall

2. Ewan McGregor

3. Chris Pine

4. Anderson Davis

5. Garrett Hedlund

Or
6. Robert Pattinson (I dont know nothing about his acting skills but at least he looks like he could pull off the role)
PrinceOfPower87 - 3/21/2011, 4:43 PM
For me, Michael C Hall would be number one on my list to play Daredevil... but if Slade/the studio feel he is a bit too old to play ''the man without fear'', THEN my choice is WITHOUT a doubt Garrett Hedlund. I just think the guy is very talented and that he could do DD justice. Of course, he will need to gain some serious muscles but acting wise, I really believe this guy has what it takes to be an awesome Matt Murdock/Daredevil.
whoa123 - 3/21/2011, 4:45 PM
Well, he's not a bad choice, but I'd like to see Garrett Hedlund.
Ryguy88 - 3/21/2011, 5:30 PM
Michael C. Hall is awesome and all but he already plays a character quite similar to DD on Tv. I like Patrick Wilson, I think he deserves a big franchise all to himself.....Remember when Jensen Ackles won that fan cast for Captain America, that was funny!

Marvel72, do you just walk around all day whining about Fox and how they came into your village as a child and raped and killed your whole family, leaving you to be raised by a bunch of whiny nerd-ragers?

Darkmatter, what are you not surprised about, people having an opinion that doesn't match your own? Go change your user name again because no one likes you under this one either.
Watcher - 3/21/2011, 5:34 PM
Hall looks young to me. I mean I have never seen him up close but I don't think he LOOKS 40
Watcher - 3/21/2011, 5:39 PM
All these picks are pretty good.

But one thing I hope doesn't happen is that the debates about who should play him don't devolve into the same bullshit that went down with the Cap casting.
Like with T'Ackles and butt hurt Supernatural fans and all that. And the studio talking about Worthington. That got old fast
MovieTheaterLad - 3/21/2011, 7:53 PM
Hall is a terrible choice for Daredevil, and nobody has yet to provide any good reason he should play him ONCE! Not even any reasons that other actors already have ten times the amount of.

Jude Law has:

Lots of experience in action movies
Lots of experience in drama movies
Lots of experience in sci-fi movies
Lots of star power
Lots of REALLY GOOD MOVIES under his belt
ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE DAREDEVIL!

What does Michael C Hall have?

Dexter
Gamer
A recent bout with a life threatening disease
A head shaped like a potato

Seriously, there is virtually no reason to hire him when you have much more capable and talented actors to choose from. Except, of course, for blind fanboyism, which is what too much of this website's username seems to be fueled by.
marvel72 - 3/21/2011, 7:55 PM
@ ryguy88

whats it to you if i moan about fox all the time ? its up to me,i can say what i like.

it has nothing to do with you at all.
WesleyGibson - 3/21/2011, 8:06 PM
Is daredevil dead in the comics?he was demon possessed and then halted by ghost rider and then it doesnt say where he went next, is the new series relaunch a remaking of the charachters story or a continuation?I would like to know if anyone knows.
