DEADPOOL 3 Rumor Claims Agent Mobius & Miss Minutes Will Appear As The Merc & Wolverine Take On The TVA DEADPOOL 3 Rumor Claims Agent Mobius & Miss Minutes Will Appear As The Merc & Wolverine Take On The TVA

While it's been heavily rumored for a while now, we've received word from a more reliable source that Deadpool 3 will indeed feature the TVA, with both Agent Mobius and Miss Minutes expected to appear.

After Ryan Reynolds made headlines late last year during a seemingly innocuous interaction with the official Miss Minutes Twitter account, the rumor mill - and Reddit - quickly became abuzz with claims that the Time Variance Authority (TVA) would factor in a major way in the upcoming Deadpool 3

Now, Above the Line reporter Jeff Sneider, during the latest episode of his The Hot Mic with Jeff and John podcast, is seemingly backing up those claims and adding that both Owen Wilson and Tara Strong will feature in the upcoming threequel as Agent Mobius M. Mobius and Miss Minutes, respectively.

He couldn't speak to the extent of their roles - or the absence of Tom Hiddleston's Loki - but seemed fairly confident that Wilson, who has a history with director Shawn Levy, will indeed appear in the film. The pair previously worked together on the Night of the Museum trilogy and The Internship.

Strong will, of course, provide the voice for Miss Minutes.

As for the film's plot and how Hugh Jackman's Wolverine factors in, Sneider notes that "Deadpool 3 is sort of Deadpool taking on the TVA," but didn't know much further than that, at least not at this juncture.

However, considering all of his time-traveling hijinks in Deadpool 2, it's probably not a stretch to assume that they'll want to have a word with him, which probably won't go well considering his history - and could potentially result in him going on the run throughout the multiverse, presumably dragging a reluctant Wolverine along.

Check out his comments for yourself in the video below:

Shortly, after their podcast wrapped, Miss Minutes tweeted the following:

@Vigor - This actually creates a potential plothole if true. Deadpool is not from Universe 616 but Miss Minutes and Mobius are. He Who Remains and the TVA were still within the confines of universe 616 as they were protecting the 616 Sacred Timeline. The only plausible way for this to work is if the new Kang variant (Victor Timely) who has taken over the TVA no longer plays within the 616 Universe and has expanded the TVA reach into different universes. This is perhaps why Deadpool is their next target because his Time Traveling device is Kang tech from his universe. This would always help retcon all the continuity errors of the Fox X-Men as it was their Kang obliterating their timeline over and over resetting and changing events/stories. Maybe Deadpool could make a joke "So you mean to tell me you're the guy that made a clusterf*** out of the X-Men movies?! That's just lazy writing."

@SonOfAGif - if you remember at the end of Loki, he ran up to a Mobius that didn't know who he was. Called Loki an analyst lol
That suggests this was another mobius variant from another universe.

@SonOfAGif - but the TVA travels across all multiverses...
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 3/23/2023, 9:22 PM
@Itwasme - They do not. The TVA in Loki was confined to protecting the 616 Sacred Timeline in order to prevent incursions, Nexus Events, and branches in the timeline.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 3/23/2023, 9:26 PM
@SonOfAGif - no, they very clearly travel the multiverses and trim any timeline that doesn't work. The show they traveled across timeliness to track Loki. It's literally the premises.
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 3/23/2023, 9:52 PM
@Itwasme - The premise of the show was using a Loki to track a Loki. But He Who Remains had made the TVA to prevent any branches in time which would create or open a doorway into the multiverse if a Nexus event happened. The Scarlet Witch was a Nexus event in Universe 616 and because He Who Remains nor the TVA prevented it, She obtained the Darkhold and her abilities allowed her to dream walk within the Multiverse.

@SonOfAGif - They aren’t confined to anywhere. They can travel alternate realities, thus all the various pruned versions of Loki. And either way we saw at the end of Loki that all bets are off after what Silvi did and that the multiverse is growing unchecked. That’s why, for example, there’s a universe with Tobey’s Spider-Man and Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool.

They need to remove that "3", this sounds nothing like a sequel to the other movies.

@TheHumanSpider2 - Deadpool is the one character other than She-Hulk you can just insert in another universe and get on with it. He didn’t even know what timeline he was in, in Deadpool 1.
TheHumanSpider2
TheHumanSpider2 - 3/23/2023, 4:33 PM
Also, TVA? they didnt they lear their lesson with MoM been so connected to Wandavision, which confused general audiences?
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 3/23/2023, 4:36 PM
@TheHumanSpider2 - Loki’s a really popular show, more popular than Daredevil and I remember the crowd going wild over Matt’s cameo in NWH, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Plus it took them of all 5 minutes to explain the TVA in Loki.
Origame
Origame - 3/23/2023, 4:57 PM
@PlusUltra - what barometers are you using to claim loki was more popular than daredevil? And your theater doesn't encompass everyone. My theater just had a few gasps when Matt showed up.

Besides, all they'd need to know is that's daredevil from the show to get the connection. And that you can know from a trailer. But the tva and miss minutes being actual antagonistic forces is gonna need an explanation.
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 3/23/2023, 5:10 PM
@Origame - I’ve got no solid numbers, because they don’t release them, but the fact Disney+ has more subscribers than Netflix, and Loki’s is the platforms most popular show is a mighty indicator. Loki’s just all around a more popular character as well, thanks to his appearances in the MCU, so it’s only natural he’d attract more viewers.

“My theater just had a few gasps when Matt showed up.”

That sounds awfully dull, I’m sorry.
SheepishOne

@PlusUltra - I really enjoyed Loki, but ain't no way the show is more popular than Daredevil.

Ain't. No. Way.
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 3/23/2023, 5:58 PM
@SheepishOne - Daredevil isn’t that popular outside the fandom, believe it or not. But Loki is. Everybody and their grandma knows who Loki is. His show was a major hit, and the response his after credit scene got in Ant-Man just goes to show how big of hit it was. Hell, I imagine more people probably watched Loki than even Ant-Man.
SheepishOne
SheepishOne - 3/23/2023, 6:12 PM
@PlusUltra - If you're trying to argue that Loki the character is more popular, that's one thing. But anecdotally I know maybe a few people who watched any of the Loki show. Most people I know who watch anything have at least seen some of Daredevil.
TheHumanSpider2
TheHumanSpider2 - 3/23/2023, 6:17 PM
@PlusUltra - Most people didnt recognized Charlie in NWH, including...people in the movie theather Charlie saw the movie.
The most common complaint about MoM was that general audiences had no idea why Wanda was evil, general audiences dont watch the Disney+ shows, hell, a lot Marvel fans dont watch them either.
This will also be a mayor problem with The Marvels.
FireandBlood
FireandBlood - 3/23/2023, 6:43 PM
@TheHumanSpider2 - Considering MoM almost made a billion and is the second highest grossing movie of Phase 4 (and CBM since COVID), I don’t think it was much of an issue. Or maybe, more people saw WandaVision than you think.

If the TVA is the primary antagonists of this movie, I will have lost all of my excitement for it. They can be included sure. But that is such a lame idea.
MotherFuckerJon
MotherFuckerJon - 3/23/2023, 4:38 PM
@mountainman - I don't think so Tim. On its face yes it doesn't sound intriguing. But keep in mind with the TVA the over arching villain, we could get a lot of multiverse/timeline travel shinanigens that could get us many other villain cameos. I think it's a great idea.
mountainman
mountainman - 3/23/2023, 4:44 PM
@HydraB0b - If it is still a mutant centered movie, I can accept it. If it’s just multiverse/Kang setup, I won’t be.
MotherFuckerJon
MotherFuckerJon - 3/23/2023, 4:50 PM
@mountainman - why? It could be both. If you're looking for this movie to establish the new MCU version of the X-men, your setting yourself up for disappointment. I do think we get some Fox-Men cameos in this movie, but it doesn't have to be completely unrelated to the Marvel Cinematic Multiverses overall direction to be worth while.

Termin8r
Termin8r - 3/23/2023, 5:06 PM
@mountainman - I think the villain is going to be a variant of Deadpool. They cast a young person as the villain, who was heavily rumored to be another DP.

Honestly, the more I hear about this movie, the more excited I get for it. I already anticipated DP going hard on the confusing Fox/Marvel/Disney rights, but now it seems like DP is going to be lampooning the whole multiverse thing as well. Which, for me, sounds perfect, since the multiverse phase has gotten off to a rocky start.
mountainman
mountainman - 3/23/2023, 5:13 PM
@HydraB0b - I’m in the group that actually wants Fox-Men in this movie. It should more or less show the end of that universe as we get close enough to Secret Wars. I don’t expect any MCU mutants until after Secret Wars.
Slotherin
Slotherin - 3/24/2023, 7:13 AM
@mountainman - while I don't need it to be mutant centric, one way I can see bringing in mutants is for Xavier to reach out to them once they arrive in the MCU and explain what's been up with mutants in the MCU. Presumably they've just been remaining discrete.
