Costume Designer Michael Kaplan Joins Star Wars Episode VII
Award winning costume designer Michael Kaplan, who previously worked with J.J. Abrams on Star Trek Into Darkness, revealed that his next project will be Star Wars: Episode VII. More details after the jump...
Recently Buzzfeed spoke with the designer and asked him about his next project. Here's what he had to say:
Buzzfeed: So will you be switching up and maybe picking a period drama for your next film [after Star Trek]? What’s coming up next?
Michael Kaplan: Well, I’ve just learned I’ll be working on the new Star Wars movie, again with J.J. Everything just got formalized [last week], I haven’t even had the chance to talk to anyone about it all other than to be told ‘welcome aboard.’ It’s a little too soon to know exactly what’s in store but I’m excited, absolutely, to get to work on another prestigious sci-fi series.”
Michael Kaplan is known for his work on I Am Legend, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, Flashdance, Seven, The Game, Panic Room, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and Miami Vice.
