Gotham Knights: shattered silence

Since it is now the new rage to have our very own Batman fan fic story, here's mine that i had written a while back, hense all the comments already aboard. Enjoy!
Blüdhaven, late november 2020. A cold wind rises from the north as a blood red sky fades into darkness. An alarm system goes off as we catch a glympse of a silhouette leaping towards it from the rooftops. Upon arriving at the scene in the alley way next to the building in question, the figure halts in it’s tracks on a near fire escape in a spot of light the early moon had cast. Nightwing frosen in awe yet at the ready seems ashtonished to find a silhouette, other than his, leaning against the building in the shadows provided by the deep alley. “Took you long enough” he said. “The police practically caught me themselves” as we hear the sirens from afar. “Think fast son!” As he shoots a bullet in a tragectory that isn’t supposed to reach it’s target yet sure enough, it ricochets off the fire escape ladder hitting him right in the shoulder making the ladder go down! From the impact of the shot and the excruciating pain he slips on a thin layer of snow and falls right on his back in the alley way. Before passing out his vision blurs and the silhouette is nowhere to be found as the sirens make themselves heard louder and louder.

“Wake up… DICK!!!”, “That’s enough Helena!” Dick slowly comes to, blinded by the sealing light. “Slipped on a banana peal?”, “Leave us alone Helena! You didn’t do any better last week!”. “Whatever, wheels…” slaming the door. “AAAAOOOWWW!!! What’s with all the racket Barb?!?!”, “Oh the usual, how are you feeling?”. “Remember when we were partners, and i used to hammer the shit out of ketchup packs to kill time?”, “Yeah…”, “Well I feel like my head is the odd one that didn’t blew up in our faces and just took the punishment!”. “Well pain is your best friend.”, “Oh don’t give me that G.I. Jane crap!”. “Alright, alright, do you have any idea of who it was? Kinda pulled the same number on Helena only she got a bit more lucky than you.”. “No, it was too dark and I was caught off guard.”, “Caught off guard? Do you have any idea what Bruce would say if he heard that?”, “Barb, I’m in enough pain as it is.”. “Well you’re gonna have to go see him anyways, apparently it happened to Tim as well.” ,”Really, man who is this guy?”, “It was a guy?!”

Wayne Mansion, sometime after lunch. Dick rings the door bell as a young Tim Drake opens the door with a crutch under his right arm. “You rang?”, “Move aside Lurch.”, “Way I see it, I’ve got just as much of a chance to move you aside Dick.”, “Funny, where’s your daddy?”, “Good one, well his majesty’s in the basement of course. Playing with his new toy.”, “Out with the old already? Man, I had bet another year in the pool!”, “Don’t push it.” Enter the batcave, walking down the steps. “Got beaten by your girlfriend again Timmy?”, “You’re one to talk.”, “Well I’m not the least bit surprised, you always had a thing for girls that can kick your ass. Spoiler ring any bells?”, “Helena ring any of yours? At least my girlfriend’s not the one saving my ass.”, “Touché master Drake, touché.” As scufling sounds are heard from affar. “So how exactly did it happen for you Tim?”, “Well I was ambushed.”, “Dude, don’t use that word out loud, Bruce will hear you!”, “Yeah I know but still, it’s what happenned. I was doing my rounds and heard a woman calling for help in a dark alley. When I arrived, there was no woman in sight, just the silhouette of a man leaning against the wall, waiting for me. Before I could think of moving, he got a shot off and got me right in the leg. It’s either he was a bad shot or he did exactly what he meant to. Anyhoo, when I got back up, he had vanished. No sound, no trace.”, “Hmmm…”. “And how exactly did it happen to you, do tell.”, “Oh just…slipped on a banana peal.”, “Riiiiiiiiight.” As we clearly hear two people fighting in the room around the corner. The sounds are getting louder, thuds are felt through vibrations in the floor, hits are heard, bones are cracked, breathing seams heavy, fabric is torn. A brief interlude installs silence for a moment, a commanding deep voice shatters the silence “AGAIN!” as the fighting continues.

Enter the training room as we see Bruce Wayne and Cassandra Cain fighting together in training gear, intensely, savagely yet precisely, battling like their lives depended on the outcome. “Man, I could watch her train all day…”, “Yeah, she is pretty genuine. Are you… falling for her? Could it be? Master Drake has a new crush?”, “…shut up.”. “Dick! What brings you hear?”, “Hi Bruce, sorry to interrupt.”, “Oh think nothing of it, it gives Cassandra a chance to catch her breath.”, “Riiiiight…, well can I speak to you in private for a moment?”, “Eh… yeah, follow me”. As Bruce and Dick leave the room “You know Cassy, you’re lucky my leg is in a cast. I would totally own you.” Tim having a smirk on his face. Cassandra quickly jabs Tim, pulling her punch an eighth of an inch from his face making Tim fall on his rear. As she leaves the room we see Tim sigh, blushing, smiling from ear to ear saying “She wants me.”

Enter the living room, Dick waits for Bruce watching TV as we hear the news bulletin “An eighteen wheeler was hijacked at the docks last night which was destined to bring it’s shipment to Wayne Enterprises. Media relations at Wayne Enterprises say the content was of none or little value. However “logical reasoning” makes us remain sceptical. Commissioner Gordon has not commented yet on if an investigation will be held in the matter. Police officers on scene seemed puzzled by this riddle. Sources say that the shipping invoice was the only thing left at the scene and had nothing but a big question mark on it, however it has mysteriously disappeared. On related news, multi-billionaire Bruce Wayne will be attending the facilities inauguration of entrepreneur and philanthropist Slade Wilson’s own Death Stroke Foundation, a research facility that will work on finding technological alternatives to medicine in preventing heart failures. His foundation’s “hands on” direction will be handed down to his sons and daughter as he will remain chairman. Bruce Wayne being the main contributor will be the one to cut the ribbon in officialising the opening of Mr. Wilson’s facility.”. ”Yes Dick, what’s on your mind?” as Bruce comes in the room buttoning his shirt’s sleeve, “My condition’s not obvious enough for you?”, “Paper cut?”, “Not quite. Same M.O. as Tim’s assailant.”, “I heard he’s quite the shot.”, “Apparently…any leads?”, “Not yet, I guess I’ll have to pay a little visit to my friend down in Chinatown.”, “Shiva’s not going to help you, why should she?”, “I’m not going to give her the choice.”, “Well I’d watch your back if I were you, this guy seems to want to take us out of commission one at a time. And he also seems to know where we’re located as well. Something’s fishy though…”, “Do tell.”, “Well Oracle seemed surprised in hearing that my assailant was a male.”, “And you didn’t think to ask why? What, did you just fall off the detective band wagon yesterday?”, “Well you know how secretive Barb is, she would’ve just brushed me off.”, “Well then I guess this calls for a family meeting.”, “Alright, I’ll relay the message. Same bat time, same bat channel?”, “…yeah.”, “Let me know what you find out.”, “I’ll keep you posted.” as Dick leaves the room.

End introduction.

Although Batman has been portrayed brilliantly twice by Christian Bale, his version of Bruce Wayne has let me unsatisfied. Also since Nolan wouldn’t go with this storyline, it also means that the door’s wide open for another actor that would probably be more fitting to the differences in the character. And since it’s my fan site and I’ll choose who I want to, I also feel that Batman’s character should have more of a “father figure’s” commanding presence in this storyline. Now the actor that I find would be perfect for this specific role, has proven on so many occasions that he has the dark mysterious look and the deep voice required for Batman’s half and yet he also pulls off the charming hotshot billionaire attitude required for Bruce Wayne’s half of the character. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Heroes’ own Nathan Pitrelli… Adrian Pasdar as Batman!!!

Now I know this pick is going to have fans practically breaking dishes at home but since the whole debate on who is the best Superman, I’ve been looking at a lot of pictures of him amongst others and I don’t know if it’s the hair cut, the look or the build but this actor just yells out Dick Grayson at me as if it was begging for it! He has proven to have what it takes for an important but supporting role and fits more than perfectly the requirements for this character. I give you… Tom Welling as Nightwing!!!

This next actress is phenomenal and breathtaking. She was my favourite pick for if they had decided to make a live “Mask of the Phantasm” feature film as Andrea Beaumont, one of Bruce’s past love interest who turns to revenge after her family’s brutally murdered at the hands of the mob. She becomes a relentless killer as the Phantasm to avenge her family. Now this actress also fits perfectly Oracle’s profile as well as she looks to be around the same age as Tom Welling to make the “relationship connection” concretely believable. One of her best performances will always be in “The Note Book” and in my opinion would bring great depth to Barbara Gordon’s role even though she’s primarily seen in her wheel chair as a background character. I give you… Rachel McAdams as Oracle!!!

Now this pick was brought to my attention by my friend Joslezio85. His choice of actress I find would be perfect for the role. She has the looks and not to mention the attitude needed for this hot headed character. Now my favourite version of this character will always be Helena Kyle as Bruce and Selena’s daughter. It just offers more depth and character development than the latest version which I feel has already been done to death. Not to mention it is a perfect tie in for Catwoman. I give you… Mila Kunis as Huntress!!!

This next role’s a tough one to pick. So many have the talent to do it justice however I always have to go with my gut feeling and detect who has the correct “vibe” for the character. Now you have to take in consideration the fact that this one is young and is still learning the ropes so to speak. He was already rumoured to be Dick Grayson however, I think he fit’s Tim Drake’s profile better. At first I thought he would make a mockery of the character for not being fit enough but since in this case he would have to be a bit more scrawny than Nightwing, I think he’d be the perfect choice as a young and impetuous side kick trying to live up to his predecessor. I give you… Shia LaBeouf as Robin!!!

Now this is my favourite character of the whole “bat” universe!!! And I couldn’t in good conscience pick any other actress as she already was the perfect incarnation of this mute assassin’s daughter in Sin City as Miho. She has the look, the talent and not to mention the highly demanding physical abilities needed to play this role. In short she IS Cassandra Cain! I give you… Devon Aoki as Batgirl!!!

The next pick came from my good friend IonParalax who contacted me not too long ago. Him and I share this monumental fondness of this actor and would love for him to be immortalised in a comic book movie. His looks and age are undisputed as the best possible choice for this role not to mention that his talent would bring light to this underrated character. Of course his physical “meta human” prowess behind the mask will have to be handled by someone like Ray Park but he has proven that he has the range as an actor to be this captivating individual all while being a merciless killer without a conscience. Yet again I give you “Heroes’” own… Malcolm McDowell as Deathstroke the Terminator!!!

This next one was also an easy pick since she has proven to have the look, the commanding presence as well as the high and mighty attitude required for this role in her under-scripted version of Lady Death Strike in X2: X-men United. She also has more than enough physical abilities to pull off this character. I give you… Kelly Hu as Lady Shiva!!!

And last but not least, the mind behind the mystery, the most anticipated antagonist to continue The Dark Knight’s storyline can only be truly played by the ever so talented actor that even showed interest in the role. Now my favourite version of this character will always be the one in the animated series entitled “The Batman”. His dark and conscienceless version is way more appealing to me than the clown he’s always been portrayed in any other adaptation of him. Not to mention that it fits perfectly along the lines of this actor’s commonly known abilities even though he is one of the most versatile actors in the business. I give you… Johnny Depp as The Riddler!!!

Adrian Pasdar is going to need to do some SERIOUS lifting in order to fill the 'Bat' shoes! I dunno about 'the beef' though, he's alway struck me as a bit 'whiny'. Hat's off to Malcolm McDowell!! Anything that he's in, I'm all over! Not that I'm opposed to Kelly Hu as Shiva (she's a phenomenal choice), but might I recommend Maggie Q as an alternative/understudy?
loganoneil - 1/6/2009, 2:28 PM
Ill say touche to you shaman sir
joslezio85 - 1/6/2009, 2:45 PM
if your going to have bruce and selena's daughter...shouldn't there be a selena, even just as a memory character? get what i'm sayin...
Eva Green.
I know. She's young. But if you do it as a flashback thing for Bruce as her lover and/or enemy and for Helena from her childhood, it could work. I think she has the build and the look required.
joslezio85 - 1/6/2009, 2:54 PM
Ooh, a bit young but yeah! Good come back Loganoneil!!!

As for Pasdar, i think CGI would be in order or else...mabe rubber nipples LOL. But for the look, i really can't see anyone having a better one than him for the role! He's as perfect as it goes.

Thanks Jos and thank you so much for the Huntress idea, she actually screams out Helena Kyle!!! And i'm pretty sure your liking the picture i put up there as well right? LOL It would actually be a cool uniform for her :))
Shaman - 1/6/2009, 3:01 PM
Eva Green would be a good pick for a more recent storyline, she could totally pull off the role!

Jos, dude, how bout bringing back Michelle Phiffer as Catwoman? Just for a few family feuds and that's it??? What do you guys think?
Shaman - 1/6/2009, 3:07 PM
great stuff as always Shaman. Your pics are great too. The only one i would question is Mila Kunis as Huntress. Yeah shes smokin hot and a great little actress..but little is the appropriate word here! i just think shes far too short and quietly spoken to play such a tough character

oh and well done on the pictures..i think you know which ones i mean
RorMachine - 1/6/2009, 4:11 PM
Dude, all those lady picks were ON POINT not to mention I love Rachel McAdams, and Mila Kunis. Dude just add in Rachel Bilson somewhere and Im in heaven. Is it just me or does Bilson look like a slightly younger McAdams?
KingWill - 1/6/2009, 4:24 PM
I disagree with Batman and Deathstroke but the rest are okay.

Devon Aoki, Mila Kunis and Kelly Hu are sooooooooooooooo f**king hot!
Joker1Zero - 1/6/2009, 4:29 PM
My favorite pics are Shia Labouef as Robin and Johnny Depp as Riddler. Its crazy cool cause a friend of mine and myself have been saying Depp would be a great Riddlerfor a while, and so have alot of others I've noticed. Apparently the world is geting together as a Hive-mind in the hopes it'll make Depp be the part he was made for. But, LaBeouf as Tim Drake is an Epic Pick. Tom Welling as Nightwing is a good one too, since he has that Broad shouldered look and the dark, slightly wavy hair. I bet once you put Tom in the costume, he would like like he came straight from the pages. The pick for Deathstroke bothers me a lil bit though. I assume your thinkin of doin it Vader style with, McDowell voicing and a younger, more fit actor is actually behind the mask. Nice going though. There are some good picks in here.
TheMyth - 1/6/2009, 4:47 PM
Kelly Hu pic gave me a chubby btw. Lmao
TheMyth - 1/6/2009, 4:51 PM
i love all your ideas but i disagree with changing bale. all the actresses u picked look great and i think they could work in the role. mila, and rachael are smoking hot and the actors you picked to plat nightwing and robin would work great but not in bales and nolans movies.
rushr - 1/6/2009, 6:23 PM
Thanks Roarshach, and i get your point for Huntress. Co-incidently, i think i get where kingWill is going with Rachel Bilson. She'd be a great Huntress. But i do like the look of Kunis, it could be a career ultimatum. With her sucky performance in Max Payne, it would be: "Either train to death and learn to kick ass for this movie and make it an award winning performance or go the hell home and flip some burgers, you need more than a nice ass to stick in this business!" How's that? too harsh maybe?

Joker1zero, of course Ray Park would be behind the mask but Deathstroke is old. McDowell would be great as the brains.

Myth i'm telling you, Welling as nightwing practically did jump at me from the screen! The idea came at me like a freight train!!! And of course Depp has to be riddler! When i heard he was actually interested in the role if they ever offered it to him, i had goose bumps. And Shia is way to whiny for Grayson but not for Drake. The "big brother" alliance between the two is just what he needs to prove the sceptics. You think YOU have a chubby, i had to go through 20 pages of Google filled with "semi naked Kelly hu pictures" to find the right one!!! The hell with the blue pill!

Rushr, of course this is a futuristic concept of where the characters are at in their lives (which Nolan would never go for in a million years not to mention he's not gitty about getting back in the saddle for a third take on it). Bale cannot remain Batman ...forever (had to say it...sorry). If they chose to make this particular movie this year, he would be too young. Pasdar is IDEAL for a mature Bruce Wayne. He looks like he's been a millionaire all his life while Bale looks like he's learning to be one. Pasdar has Batman's darkness gushing out of him naturally while Bale's version is still learning how to harness it. Give it some time, you'll see that Pasdar is the eventual and rightful succession to the cape and cowl. The evolution of the character so to speak.
Shaman - 1/6/2009, 7:20 PM
First off, I love Michelle Pfieffer and she was an amazing catwoman. But, standing next to Pasdar, I think the age difference would be way too noticeable
joslezio85 - 1/6/2009, 11:00 PM
...as for Rachel Bilson, she looks the part and all, but i don't think she looks like a big enough bitch
joslezio85 - 1/6/2009, 11:16 PM
Since Robin's up here, i just wanted to throw this out...
Teen Titans...

Kirsten Stewart-Wonder Girl
Shia- Robin
Emily Bergl- Raven
Drake Bell- Beast Boy
Ryan Gosling- Speedy
Sean Patrick Thomas- Cyborg
Adam Brody- Aqua Lad
Justin Chatwin- Kid Flash

joslezio85 - 1/6/2009, 11:47 PM
Dude, i dont know how you do it but once again, you've picked right from left field and i love it.

Nightwing - Tom Welling - Inspired, i love nightwing and when you look at the pictures you can just literally see Tom Welling in that costume.

i think yur right about Batman. after watching the Dark Knight i am starting to question Bale's ability as Batman, however i do feel if he was given the task as a father figure and toned down the Batman voice (you all know what i mean) he would pull it off. either way i'm happy if he stays and i'm happy with your pick.

As for the women, let's just say that if this movie was made , the rewind button on all of our dvd players will break which will pale in comparison to the RSI's(Repetetive Strain Injuries) we will all get.LOL!

Shaman you ROCK, keep them coming.
theFACE - 1/7/2009, 5:16 AM
SHAMAN, SHAMAN, SHAMAN! I gotta say most of these picks are brilliant! Of course it will come to no shock to you that I must disagree with your Nightwing pick. To me Welling will always be a perfect fit for Superman. That being said there is no reason to debate on the subject I can only offer a up who I think would be a good Nightwing.

First let me say I love your Batman pick. I never ever would have thought to cast Adrian as Bruce. I think it's a great pick. I love Bale in this role though so I would be really interested to see how Adrian would play it. In fact it's funny you should pick Adrian for Batman because I think that Milo Ventimiglia would be an awesome Nightwing.

I also love your picks for Oracle and Huntress. McAdams is a great actress. And Kunis is so damn hot I don't even know what to do with myself. Brilliant choices!

In fact I love all the rest of your choices too! Especially McDowell for Slade, I mean yeah he is probably a little older than Slade in the books but hell I think he could pull it off.

I would like to see I different cast for Robin though. I like Shia but not as Robin. I was thinking even though I have never watched the show I think that Matt Dallas from Kyle XY would be a terrific fit for Robin.

I find myself wondering though, who would you cast for Commissioner Gordon, Catwoman, and Alfred?

LastSon1027 - 1/7/2009, 4:21 PM
i still say angelina jolie would have been an amazing catwoman, and if you compare her and pasdar. mila kunis would totally be their love child. ha.
joslezio85 - 1/7/2009, 6:24 PM
I think what I was saying has been misinterprited. I was simply stating that I think that bilson is hella hot and looks a lot like Rachel McAdams. Thas all....
KingWill - 1/8/2009, 10:09 AM
Wow Jos, you have very good points. Of course in my book, i'd prefer Jolie as Catwoman and that's a bull's eye for you saying that she looks the same age as Pasdar! Great job!!! Also, it could have a Mr. and Ms. Smith feel to the feuds :)) As for the Teen Titans, i didn't want to cast them in an article because of the age of the characters. It's very difficult casting teens because most of them have very little experience for me to base the casting on. But every pick you made seems great to me except Raven. I mean don't get me wrong, Emily Bergl is great but she's too "sparky" to play a semi-emotionless character. I find that the pick i have of her is perfect and even though she is older than the others, she has that "forever young" look to her so she'd pull the look down better than anybody else. My pick for Raven is of course, Christina Ricci!

Thanks for those great compliments TheFace!!! Will do! And i like Bale too which made it hard for me to cast someone else but Pasdar just screamed at me :))

Of course LastSon, that was to be expected. I just think Welling'd be able to pull off Dick Grayson so well if DC/WB decided to keep going with Routh. Matt Dallas for Tim Drake seems to be a good pick, i don't know much about him so i can't really comment. I really get what you're saying about Shia, it's just that in this case, having all the other knights around Tim, i think Shia would be a good pick. Not if it's just Him and Bruce though, that would be gay. The idea of just Batman and Robin alone in dark alley ways on cold hard nights... well you get the drift. I like the idea of Bruce having started with someone like Welling and then when Dick "leaves home" he picks up a "stray" with Shia to fill the void ya know? That's the kind of Robin i think Shia could pull off. Having to prove himself to fill Welling's shoes ya know? To answer your request, catwoman should be Jolie, Alfred would be dead but a computer generated Mickael Cain would be cool and as for Gordon, well with the years he gathered much more experience and confidence. Of course Oldman is incredibly versatile and could carry the role with gray-er hair but just for the heck of it... how'bout James Brolin? He was pretty good in Pensacola: Wings of gold!

Sorry KingWill, my bad, you're right though, she does look like her and i dunno, something about her "look wise" felt like huntress material so i just assumed the connection. LOL
Shaman - 1/8/2009, 10:38 AM
Yeah I totally get what your saying about Shia he can play the street smart tough kid type. I can see it now. Good picking!
LastSon1027 - 1/8/2009, 11:09 AM
I agree with Joker1Zero. Batman should be somewhat older and Deathstoke younger. I like the Jolie as Catwoman choice.

The script is very good. I like the dialog and relationship with the characters.
JYCowboy - 1/8/2009, 9:09 PM
and i sat on it for like two minutes and decided that i think camilla belle would be a better wonder girl. lol.
joslezio85 - 1/8/2009, 9:49 PM
camilla belle would be a better wonder girl
joslezio85 - 1/8/2009, 9:50 PM

decaaprio could pull it off

megan Denise Fox-Wonder Girl
Shia- Robin
Raven Symone- Raven
haley joel osment- Beast Boy
Drake Bell-- Speedy
Lee Thompson Young- Cyborg
frankie muniz- Aqua Lad
Erik Per Sullivan- Kid Flash
also starfire - Ellen Page
and superboy connerkent- tom wellings
and slade the villian -Hayden Christensen
supergirl almost forgot her- Hayden Panettiere

raimdogg - 1/9/2009, 1:49 AM
Thanks JY, yes, an older Bruce would be good but who???

Jos, the only thing i can say about Camilla Belle is WOW!!! I'm sooo gona use that pick elsewhere LOL Thanks for bringing her to my attention :))

Raimdogg- Raven as Raven is a bad choice, do you even know anything about her character? Cause it has nothing to do with Raven's tv show if you were wondering. Ellen Page is already a great Kitty Pride. Jos had a way better pick for Cyborg and Christensen can't be Slade. Slade is old. Hayden is hot and would no doubt do a great Supergirl but i prefer her as black cat in my Spider-man 4 thread. Christian Bale would be to young as i have already stated. Kruek would be a disgrace to Shiva, she's a lady not a young girl. McAdams can't be Batgirl if there is an Oracle. That would make Batgirl Cassandra Cain being ASIAN. Any Baldwin is bad and why are you talking about deadpool on a DC batman thread? If you absolutely need an older Oracle, Dina Meyer did a great job on the tv series. As for Black Canary, i hate her character even though she's loved worldwide, i find she sucks in comparisson to Huntress. But if you must have a pick, how's Scarlet Johanson for you?
Shaman - 1/9/2009, 11:09 AM
how the hell did i forget starfire? is Elizabeth Berkley too old? cuz i'm pretty sure being starfire is that woman's birthright!
joslezio85 - 1/9/2009, 1:24 PM
and ya, black canary is pretty lame...but I'm gonna say Kelly Carlson if anyone should be her...if necessary.

joslezio85 - 1/9/2009, 1:28 PM
i like it.....green light it and make it happen.
kaoz4100 - 1/9/2009, 2:16 PM
Kaoz- which one LOL? Gotham Knights or Teen Titans LOL?

Joz- Oh freakin god yes, Berkley, Berkley, Berkley!!! As for Canary, if Clarkson can actually act... who cares anyway, it's not like it's an important character.
Shaman - 1/9/2009, 3:04 PM
not kelly clarkson, screw american idol trash. Carlson, from nip/tuck i believe. i don like that show much either. but she seems a pretty good actress. and ya, black canary still sucks. but Carlson's hot. so on the upside we'd get to see her in fishnets for an hour and a half. lol.
joslezio85 - 1/9/2009, 10:38 PM
The more I think about it, the more I love the Tom Welling pick for Nightwing. I actually would love to see him in this role somehow just to see if he will look as good in the costume as I think he will. Wow!
TheMyth - 1/10/2009, 12:41 PM
Wow Jos, i just checked out Kelly Carlson and DAMN!!! She might just make that idiot character interesting!

Myth, it's wierd isn't it? But man does he ever feel right for that role. He looks just like the freakin picture!
Shaman - 1/10/2009, 5:24 PM
OK, Riddle me this:

Who would you cast for Harley?

I can't see anyone but Lori Petty but she is much too old now for the role. What ding-bat could pull of the "Mr. J" lover?
JYCowboy - 1/10/2009, 8:55 PM
like i said on the crow thread. Brittany Murphy would be a hella good Harley Quinn
joslezio85 - 1/11/2009, 12:11 AM
like i said on the crow thread. Brittany Murphy would be a hella good Harley Quinn
joslezio85 - 1/11/2009, 12:11 AM
Brittany Murphy hands down! But if she can't, second pick would be Kristen Bell :)) She's nuts in Heroes.
Shaman - 1/12/2009, 8:19 AM
Shaman I just had an awesome idea for who else could play the Riddler perfectly. Michael Emerson from Lost! He would be an amazing Riddler. He has the perfect look for Nygma. He has those crazy eyes but yet he knows exactly what he is doing and on Lost he plays people so easily. What do you think?
LastSon1027 - 1/12/2009, 12:49 PM
when are we going to bring in some original villains that haven't been done before. i'd love to see bats go up against clayface. or mad hatter. or even the clock dude from the tv show. can you imagine how creepy it would be for one of them. they got make it a seriously twisted mind warping thing for batman...
it'd be the shit...anyone remember summer gleason? ya, i know. put she's better than dawson, or even doing the catwoman thing....again
joslezio85 - 1/12/2009, 11:01 PM
David Eisenberg could be the clock king. Sam rockwell could be the mad hatter. and i dont think it would matter who's clayface it'll be cgi anyways

joslezio85 - 1/12/2009, 11:04 PM
rebecca gayheart for summer gleason
joslezio85 - 1/12/2009, 11:12 PM
Actually Lastson, i know Mikey has the talent for it but he doesn't have what i'd like Riddler to have. He's a little rat of a riddler and would be a great portrayal of the old version but for the new riddler i showed on top, he's not really up to par.

I feel you Jos, i'd love to see the Clock King myself!!! I was thinking David Hyde Pierce for that one though, what do you think? I love Rockwell as Mad Hatter, your pick is brilliant! Who's summer gleason again? Sean Connery could come back as Clayface :))
Shaman - 1/13/2009, 2:08 PM
I'm not familiar with that Riddler, only the one from the 90's animated series and the comics. But yeah he is totally a little rat bastard. And I I think he would be an awesome villain cause I love to hate him. I mean Everyone loves it when Jack kicks his ass. I'll have to check out that Riddler from The Batman. I have never actually seen an episode of that series.
LastSon1027 - 1/13/2009, 7:57 PM
summer gleason was the reporter on the '90s batman series...i figure if we actually gave a "purpose" to a female character, unlike rachel dawes who was annoying, than maybe it could actually be entertaining and it would work. David Hyde Pierce is actually a great choice. i like it better than my own. touche.
joslezio85 - 1/13/2009, 10:03 PM
Lastson- Too true, he IS the kind of guy we love to hate and should definitely play a villain!!! He would be perfect as the old riddler but in our day and age... who else could he play...i wonder. DUDE!!! I got it! He would be perfect as The Mole Man! Leader of the subterranian outcasts! He could go up against the X-men or the Fantastic Four or mabe even the Avengers :))
And you totally have to check out that animated series, it's the best piece of Batman i've ever seen on TV. It is awesome! It goes places the previous series didn't and offers kick ass animation too :)) If i had the money, i'd buy all the seasons right freakin' now :))

Jos- Oooohh right, i had forgotten about her. She wasn't really imortant huh? Well i'd like her more than rachel, that's for sure! Good call Jos :) Yeah, someone had him as the riddler on an other post but i think he'd be nothing short of PERFECT for the clock king. Always keeping his cool, anticipating practically foreseeing everything, has the best self confidence in the world because he knows more than anyone that he IS on time...everytime. That is just too cool of a concept :))

Shaman - 1/15/2009, 10:43 AM
pierce brosnan would be a good older bruce wayne if he covered up the brit accent cause christian bale is english he covers it pretty good. plus he always plays a good rich guy and has a dark side.
wadewilson1 - 1/15/2009, 11:58 AM
REMARKABLE pick Wade, i love Pierce, he will always be the best ever Bond! I think he'd not only be good for this storyline but if you put a little grey hair on each side of his head, he could also be good for Frank Miller's DKR.
Shaman - 1/15/2009, 1:27 PM
I think he'd be a fantastic choice too! The only two problems I see with Pierce is that he's going to need to SERIOUSLY eat his Wheaties for the DKR role (if you know what I mean). In addition, he's always played cool and calm - can he play a character who might not 'be there' all the time mentally?

I must admit, my perception has been SLIGHTLY clouded recently - I was DRAGGED by my wife to see 'Mamma Mia'. Anyone who's a Pierce Brosnan / James Bond fan - WARNING!! DO NOT SEE THIS FILM for two reasons (aside from the OBVIOUS!):

1. He is NOT a singer (to borrow a line from 'Goldeneye', he sounded like he was "...strangling a cat..."), and...

2. The ending - all I'm going to say is it was a number that involved "sequined multi-colored 70's 'Elvis'-style jumpsuits!" [shudder] (YES, you read correctly - I feel violated just remembering) "OH GOD, GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!! PLEASE... SOMEONE... MAKE THE PAIN... JUST... STOP!!!!!!"

I will NEVER forgive my wife...
loganoneil - 1/16/2009, 11:17 AM
Hey guys, i just thought of the best "retired actor" role as Clayface, how's Terry O'Quinn for you guys???

Loganoneil- Good points about Pierce, i really don't know if he can pull that off. He could prove us wrong. Oh shit... you saw that? Dude, divorce is always an option. Or else she got major brownie points to work up to the major loss.
Shaman - 1/16/2009, 12:50 PM
[sniff] - I need a man-hug... (LMFAO!)

Nah, I think I'll keep her - she's totally into comic books / comic book movies AND mixed martial arts (she not only knows the difference between an 'omaplatta' and an 'americana', she can execute BOTH!) Hell, she can almost give me a run for my money (I'm so proud... [sniff]) Still, she does owe me - BIG TIME (and she KNOWS IT!).
loganoneil - 1/16/2009, 1:23 PM
LMFAO!!! Well as long as she's aware and willing to make the compromise which doesn't leave many options because she likes the same things you do... I'll leave that one for you to ponder LOL Good luck :P
Shaman - 1/16/2009, 2:47 PM
Terry could definitely rock as Clayface.
LastSon1027 - 1/19/2009, 7:09 AM
terry would be a good choice for calyface. and pierce brosnan is an actor iam sure he would bulk up if the role called for it but if he is a older batman i think he would be more brain then brawn. for the mentally thing watch the Matador he isn't all there in the movie it has greg kinnear in it to.
wadewilson1 - 1/23/2009, 1:06 PM
Very true wade and thanks for bringing us the Matador to our attention, if i get the chance, i'll surely check it out :))
Shaman - 1/23/2009, 2:14 PM
I would totally like to see Ron Perlman to play Deathstroke (only cuz I'm soooo used to and love his voice as Slade in the Teen Titans show) but that could never happen. Nice choice on the characters, including Deathstroke.
crappybumbum - 2/10/2009, 3:01 PM
Oh yes, i totally agree!!! He'd be a kickass Deathstroke :)) Good call dude!!!
Shaman - 2/11/2009, 5:02 PM
awesome picks as usual, may not agree with all of them, still say Bale makes a great Bruce as well as Bat, but I can understand your view. The only major suggestion I would make is have the girl play Oracle that played it in the Birds Of Prey TV show. I forget her name right now, but she was also in Starship Troopers(the redhead, much sexier than Denise Richards). I thought she was one of the really good things about the TV show.
mwmcintyre - 2/18/2009, 1:35 PM
I totally agree with you mwmcintyre!!! Dina Meyer is one of the sexiest women alive and is perfect as orcale!!! BUT, since i wasn't sure if there were many fans of that show here, i didn't want to get linched. And i knew that Rachel McAdams was a very popular actress here so i went with her. Like i said, the best thing would be for McAdams to be Andrea Beaumont/Phantasm which would leave Dina Meyer as the perfect Oracle!!! Great job buddy :))
Shaman - 2/19/2009, 11:45 AM
love your pics but my only question is where did u get that pic of Mila Kunis DAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN great pics by the way.
SPANISHVEGETA - 3/13/2009, 8:21 AM
Hell, i couldn't believe it myself when i saw that!!! I was happy as hell that it was JPG or else we wouldn't be enjoying her :))
Shaman - 3/16/2009, 12:30 PM
hahaha!!! Oh my god!! I would kill, literally kill to see Adrian Pasdar as Batman and Tom Welling as Nightwing!!! Those are PERFECT casting choices!!!!
joNathanPetrelli - 4/3/2009, 3:40 PM
Thanks bud, i knew you'd like them ;)
Shaman - 4/7/2009, 9:38 AM
HOLY FREAKIN CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Malcom McDowel. Clockwork Orange is one of my top movies!!!

I just picked Kelly Hu for Shiva in my Batman casting holy crap!

Awesome man
THEHAWK - 6/4/2009, 11:58 PM
yeah hawk what happpenend to your clockwork orange/gotmilk?
NightAvenger4 - 7/4/2009, 12:26 PM
THEHAWK- Thanks dude :)) I throuroughly had fun writing it. I might have written the whole thing if i had the time and a computer at home. It's kinda hard to write a full script when your at work LOL :P
Shaman - 7/10/2009, 10:05 AM
i say they set up at the end of the third batman movie for a batman beyond sequel
joob234 - 7/13/2009, 4:55 PM
shaman-thats freakin awesome!!!!
NightAvenger4 - 7/13/2009, 8:21 PM
Ya know, when you posted this the first time. I completely thought Tom Welling would be an amazing Nightwing. Now, don't get me wrong. I still do. But, I think Milo Ventimiglia would be absolutely perfect. I don't know, something about him screams perfect. I know, him and Pasdar play brothers in Heroes. But, I don't care. It would still be perfect.

It seems someone else agrees. I just found this picture on photobucket. Totally proves my point.
joslezio85 - 7/13/2009, 8:22 PM
Someone deleted my Comment! :( Why!!!!!!!!!!!
THEHAWK - 7/13/2009, 11:10 PM
NewAvenger4- Thanks dude :)

joob234- I personally ain't a batman beyond fan.

joslezio85- Yes, he would do the trick and no matter what they played in the past together, they have a chemestry that could work very well :))

HAWK- What comment??? What did you write??? Cause i know i don't have the "power" to delete it.
Shaman - 7/14/2009, 6:50 AM
Damn, when did you do this SHAMAN @ Very nice! id like that movie!

Love the cast! Still see HEROES boy in BATMAN though lol (CLOONEY).

Man WELLING does make a good NIGHTWING!!!

Only one i have a prob wiv is ROBIN and SHIA don't like either lol! I say keep him away from the BAT Franchise and just make a solo ROBIN movie or something!

Cool stuff! :thumbs up! ; )
