The Playlist managed to get a sneak peek at the next issue of Entertainment Weekly, and among the features included was a first-look at Jonathan Liebesman's upcoming Clash Of The Titans sequel, Wrath Of The Titans, set to be released next March. The first official still from the movie shows lead man Sam Worthington as Perseus, but with a noticeable new hairdo. Below is what the director has to say about Perseus' role in the sequel (probable Spoiler Ahead)...

In case you're curious, the trident that Worthington holds is one of several weapons that Perseus has to collect "in order to create one uber-weapon," Liebesman told EW. "But that's probably a massive spoiler. I haven't practiced being spoiler proof yet.

The plot centers on Hades (Ralph Fiennes) kidnapping Zeus (Liam Neeson) and taking him into the underworld. Be sure to check out Wrath Of The Titans when it hits theaters March

STORY XCERPT FROM IMDB...

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus-the demigod son of Zeus-is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned..

@Insomnium & marvel72 - Yup, definitely should have had a trailer (at the very least a teaser) by now. In fact, I dont know if I've ever seen a movie wait this long to start promoting the film, especially a big budget film like this! Very weird.

Louis Leterrier did a much better job with Incredible Hulk. Clash of Titans did not do the original justice...this sounds a bit like the storyline from Immortals BTW.

Seems odd the story to this. First of all the Olympians overthrow the Titans mainly because Zeus is so powerful -he forces Kronos to regurgitate his siblings who are fully grown and then they conquer the heavens.

To increase their power Zeus created humans, so why would the lack of human devotion cause them to lose their pre-existing strength which defeated the Titans originally?

I totally prefer the Original movie, but in this one lets for [frick]sake see Almighty Zeus and Poseidon let rip with their power. Let's see the wrath of the gods,lighting bolts, thunder storms, swirling seas, tornadoes, waves, fire, lets see it, bring on the Power, make it EPIC. Don't fanny around with the Gods and have them as weird immortals who sit and bicker.
